As a therapist/elder (lol I’m 34 but hey, I’m older than her), my take on this is that she is an extremely young and out of touch person to think that this would be beneficial in the long term or frankly, even the short term. This is a horrendous action and my worry is that other young people with even less life experience will keep doing these things because they don’t realize the harm it can cause. There is so much more to life than making it on the internet, and if your life goal is truly to make being on here your career, then I guarantee that you can find that success without faking a miscarriage, I promise.

I like that social media people are growing up and trying to highlight the ways it's bad for minors. I can see maybe using it as a plot point in the same episode, maybe a few minutes of baby talk then the 'actually not' as a got ya but multiple videos is a bit too far. I get what she was trying to do. She tried to do a commentary on parasocial relationships, and how we, by seeing her "pregnant" would become emotionally invested in her experience, but she did it in a very distasteful way. Pregnancy and motherhood are extremely sensitive topics, and the fact that she used this as an add for her patreon makes it even worse. She could've made this commentary in a much better way, by not doing this to her audience, by not using this as an add for her patreon, because it really does come off as a mockery of her audience and of motherhood.
