@@rogernilsson_Swe 2018. 2019 och nyare har GPF, så de dämpar ljudet rätt rejält. Bättre att satsa på en 2017 - 2018 årsmodell :)

@@982porsche thanks for the response. Do you think there’s a possibility that the 6 cyl could off gas hotter than the 4?

@@tgemz3376 sorry for late reply, only saw your comment now. It's the same exhausts pretty much. The engine doesn't get any hotter on the 4cyl than it does with the 6 cyl. I don't think there's any issues. I had this little gap until June 2022 when I sold the car and got a 991.2 Carrera T. I inspected the rear but zero damage.

Over one year and zero damage to the car. Nothing on the plastics, nothing on the surroundings :)

Yup, zero issues. Zero burn marks, lots of smiles. Only close it when I had to do the inspection but opened again when I got home

@@982porsche Great. I did it few days ago, wish I knew about this earlier. How big is the gap that you've left? Mine is ~4mm now and I might increase it a bit. Cheers ❤️

Make it too open and it sounds less, best way is to experiment with it until you find the best spot. Mine is maybe around 5mm

Okej tack, tar detta skada på ens bil? Vissa säger att den gör det medan andra inte, har du någon fundering kring det?

Kan med gott samvete säga att har kört så I två år. Inga synliga skador, bilen går inte sämre, det enda är att bilen låter några dB högre. Att ta bort hela grejen gör att du tar bort även ändrören. Bara ta och prova, gillar du inte detta så är det bara stänga igen. No harm done, jag sålde bilen då jag bytte till en 911T, bilen gick igenom Porsche centers 111p test och fick Porsche approval. Detta är väldigt populärt om du surfa och läser de amerikanska forumen t.ex.

Base. But this does work for the S and GTS 2.5l that have this exhaust setup.

@@982porsche ser ju rätt lätt ut att byta sista biten på avgasröret också. Jag har det större röret, men är sugen på två pipor i svart istället.

@@LupceStavreski De svarta är inget att ha, flera som sagt att de ser snygga ut när de är nya, men efter några månader på nacken så börjar dom se trötta ut. Finns en trevlig grupp på Facebook, heter Porsche 718 Global. Är värt att gå med där, många som delar tips och tricks, samt om man vill köpa nytt avgassystem eller få tips på trim/tuning så finns det många kunniga samt vendors som kan ge rabatter, etc :)

Hey, remove the fuse to the soundaktor, located in the fuse box behind right rear taillight. Soundaktor is something that generates fake engine noises in the cabin. Remove it and the drone will disappear pretty much..

@@982porsche I have done that already before the mod. on the pipe... (did remove the cable directly from the soundactor)

but it would be probably better if I would play a bit with the gab, I had about 5-6mm and that was too much for me...

Not an issue. I've driven in snow with this gap. The exhaust gets warm enough so the water just vaporates.
