I have been exploring your videos over the last few weeks. You are incredibly thoughtful and respectful while providing splendid information for my vicarious enjoyment. I hate that you had such a terrible time with the Carrera you bought. I have always known that every car purchase is somewhat chancey, but, like you, I have always wanted a Porsche 911. Now that I am at the stage in life where I can actually afford one, I am terrified at the thought of plunking down $100,000 for a base Carrera and risking having my dreams shattered. Superb review nick. I know what you are saying about the Carrera's sleek lines but I love the styling of the Turbo body it just shouts performance. Thank you for detailing the mid range overtaking ability it is a real world feature. The Toyota Corolla comment made me laugh and almost spit out my Beer. Keep up the fantastic work!!

Great review. As somebody myself who has driven a 997 gt3, 997.2 4s coupe and my 997 s cabrio on track and road, i love the "comparative" analysis. The context of what this car is like compared to others is so insightful and traditional journalists tend to just say something to the affect of "this is the best car ever." As compared to whats this feel like to another car that i have had actual seat time in as well as the value proposition. The feel vs numbers discussion (pdk, awd) is one my enthusiast friends and i have been discussing much recently. I recently considered getting a pdk cayman s (987.2) as driver/track car. After test driving the pdk car i was left unenthused because of a lack of feel and connection - if it was only for the track, sure - but it wasn't so i recently got 987.2 S manual. Lots of fun cars for you to review when your back in Pittsburgh. You know our local track (Pittrace) is growing to twice the size with a laguna seca like corkscrew? Also coming to see the only vintage race on public streets in the country (Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix) would be a good video as well! You, William and Tui (i know he does all the video editing) keep up the good work!

Nick this was probably the best car review video I've ever seen although the getawayer runs you close ;-) You covered all the practical things that most full time car reviewers don't think to do. What an amazing car too! Question is are you going to trade your M4 in for one?!

It's so refreshing to see a youtube reviewer focusing more on what actually means something to the "normal buyer" - I can't stand those "race driver, lap time focused" stuff anymore. Hopefully you do a Nick Murray Style review of the Macan soon, since we're readying the money for one, I would really appreciate your comments before finalizing the extras list... on the other hand we already learned a lot from all your Porsche vids so far. Nick, aussie here. Love the reviews, and I followed you through the whole 991 saga. Keep them coming! I agree about the look of the C2, to me it looks more refined and sophisticated than the turbo especially in profile. Must be great living in the US where performance cars are more reasonably priced than Aus/NZ! M4 is over $150k here..

Nick if I were looking for a new 911, I would probably look for the 991 GTS. Now that the 991.2 is rolling out I would wait for the complete update. Be interesting to see what they do to the Turbo now given the Turbocharging across the range. Great review. Very complete. I own a Cayman 981 at the moment - I can only imagine what the 991 Turbo S is like! It looks savage!

Hands down the best review on 911 Models. I didn't drive the 911 turbo S at the Moment, I will probably there next day, but I own a 2014 Carrera S. I drove a Carrera 4S fully equipped for a weekend including every driving situation imaginable in summer, and a GTS Cabrio 2015 fully equipped . The 4 Wheel drive is absolutely great to gain speed, but kind of boring compered to the back wheel Version. Next to this, the drama of the Sound of my naturally aspirated 2014 911 S wasn't match by no ways by the turbo Models. But I have to admit, the new Turbos are amazing fast, especially in the 4 Wheel Option.I will write an Upgrade when I drove the Turbo S. Thank you a lot for this cool review!!

the carbon ceramics are also lighter than the steel brakes and thereby improving road performance. and they look good.... expensive but I had to order them. My boxster gts comes in 4 weeks.... great review, please keep them coming

For Nick to be so impartial with this review after the horror ownership experience. Shows great restraint and more over character on his behalf. Porsche should hand him the keys to a new turbo S as penance. Great review Nick

Recently I have been thinking about turning in my 2011 GTS for 2015 Turbo S. Seeing your review though I think the Turbo S is far to powerful for me and actually scares me seeing how fast the speedo flickers from 55 to 75. That type of power would get me killed on Florida streets. I think I may have to go with the new 2015 GTS instead. Awesome review Nick!

The thing that gets me is how fast it shifts from the time you click the paddle it seems instantaneous.

Great video! One minor note: during sections when you're in the car talking while it's off (for instance, the feature breakdown), I heard a lot of mouth noises (e.g. Lip smacking, swallowing). It wasn't horrible, but stuff like that sounds out to me. Definitely no big deal though. Hope to see you in a regular 911 (no turbo) soon!
