@@DasCayman It's a base Spyder, but it does have AC and stereo. Only real bummer is the sofa seats. I wish there was a carbon option for less than 20k!

Running a lighter flywheel actually reduces stress on these cranks because the tail is very long there is less weight wobbling about.

It’s a single mass flywheel. And thanks for the comment! I’d do this mod every time… I really don’t see a downside to it

You need a sprung centre clutch disc now. you didn't need one as the previous set up had DMF which took the shock. Now everything is fixed you gonna flog that fucker out real fast. Look at the kit BBI sells

I called BBI, Sharkwerks and TPC and asked about this... they all said stock clutch is OK. I too was nervous... but it's fine. Especially if you know how to drive manual very well. I pointed this out here. I think you'll enjoy! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pZqgmK-S09Clpp8.html

Have you installed the weighted crankshaft pulley? Do you think that a 3 lb. pulley is going to make up for the 12 lb. removed? I would love to install a LWFW but I'm concerned that even with a balanced pulley the engine life will be significantly shortened. Your thoughts?

The shaft is supported by so many bearings in the engine that this would not matter. It’s not about counterbalancing on Porsches but rather soaking up resonant frequencies. I spoke with 4 name brand Porsche race shops in the USA - TPC, BBI, Sharkwerks, and DeMan and they all said engine is balanced from factory, doesn’t need a harmonic balancer and to enjoy the flywheel
