And sure enough, the Porsche Taycan has proven a massive hit for the company setting a high bar for high-performance electric cars. The price increase across the Taycan range in Ireland is pretty unbelievable. They’ll be a much rarer sight from 242 plates onwards.

Don't fool yourself with these claimed figures of "up to 40 kilometres more with the aerodynamic wheels" - this is based on the hypothetical max km value, comparing the "worst" wheels (e.g. 21 inch RS Spyder) against the 20 inch Aero design wheels. So there's size and aerodynamic criteria that lead to these "up to 40km" figures. In real life, the km delta would be FAR lower I reckon!
