Another excellent video. Nice to see the 610 in the wood. I plan on running a 24" skip tooth bar and chain combo, as that is what works best for the type of wood I have . I am sending a package to you that has the mailing info for the 610, as well as some other good stuff. Let me know when you receive it.

A stock one might be better with skip tooth, but I that one is better with full house.

Do you run the depth gauges a little lower on skip tooth to load the saw more? I bought one to try on a 066 clone but have not had a chance to try it yet. It was cheap, it might be my throw away chain for dirty crappy wood.

I picked one of these up a few months ago with a trashed chain, and now I want to run a 20" bar on it so I'm trying to figure out whether I can run full comp or should I use a skip tooth. How is it in hardwood like oak and maple?

Full house all the way those saws have the torque to pull it well I run a 20 inch bar 70 DL our oaks are gritty here in the ozarks skip tooth just don't hold up I think my saws 605 610 650 all are set at 9500 thay will turn faster but it really is on the lean side I run a 24 on my beam maker if it's 70 or less outside you can run it all day never over heats or anything my favorite McCulloch chainsaw I would like to try a 710 the 10-10 are just ok but power less in my opinion the sxl automatic is more reliable I love that filter setup can you post how to get one nice job!!
