Fun fact: Brass instruments are entirely based on the overtone series, which make up all of the open-valve notes. The valves lower the pitch from those open-valve notes, which enables the horn to play chromatically.

When I lsten to this Masterpiece as you rightly name it. I can't help but think of Jaco in his room creating this and I wonder if he knew how Revolutionary his work would become. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

A little tip for anyone struggling to do that one very difficult harmonic. Fret the 2 fret on the a string and with your right hand place your thumb on the string and pluck kind of upwards. It takes some time to find the right spot to pluck but once you get it down it’ll sound pretty much the same the only real downside is that it doesn’t have any sustain but it doesn’t really matter

Did you even play that D# at the beginning? Because I didn't hear it from you at all, like you skipped that note. I've gotten the notes of everything before that but I'm reeeeaaallly trying to play that D#. Is it a harmonic of the sixth fret of the A string you were talking about, that difficult part? I went everywhere on the fretboard pretty much but I absolutely cannot get that D#. Much appreciated

pretty sure he played it in the beginning and yes that 6th fret artificial harmonic is a D#

You play it by pressing the 2nd fret and doing the harmonic in the sixth
