Profoto AX and A2 are are perfect combo. On this video we are using the 2 flashes for an outdoor session . The small flashes are easy to use and are doing a great job keeping up with the fast phase of the shoot. The color consistence is very good throughout the shoot and the flashes have enough power to cover any situations like this.
I am using in this shoot :
Profoto AX, Profoto A2, Angler Fastbox 24", Profoto Magnum Reflector, Profoto Click 1/4 CTO, Canon R5, Canon 70-200mm L 2.8 , Canon 14-35mm
I always try to use different focal lengths for all the sessions to make sure I cover a wide variety of focal lengths to have more diversified looks.
With small flashes I always keep my main light no further than 5-6' from my subject to try to preserve as much as I can the softer quality of the modifier.
You need to get a background to compliment your subject, take some looks through the viewfinder to make sure it looks good , establish the exposure for your background , you can underexpose or overexpose but make sure the decision you make on the background exposure will contribute to your final image. Than you bring the subject in and you start working on your flash location, direction and exposure. Look at the pictures to make sure everything works together .
Have fun !
