Damn, I thought my grandma invented this dish. She does exactly this except for the potato, and its seriously amazing. A stupid friend of mine came over and took a big bite out of It, than put it back on the tray saying It had "way too much flavor" to him. Some people Just can't get food this good.

A younger friend of mine whom I had asked to make a little shopping for me, the old lady, not only brought me the few thing I had asked for but also chocolate and strawberries. So lovely and heartwarming. Take care of yourself, wash your hands and call your friends and family.

Amazzing video wow. I absolutely love gratin. The definition of comfort food ! I have a question though. I dont know how to caramalize onions and in your video i got lost. You said heat butter and olive oil and sautee on low heat with lid cover then stir them and keep uncovered for 5 minutes on low heat? Bit in the video you put the lid back. What should i do .
