I too have enjoyed Mode Shuffle a lot. I think the rotation between Convoy, Airship Escort and Arms Race has been pretty even in my case. My biggest frustration when playing the Ohio or any other brawling BB has been that people a lot of the time don´t play the objective in Convoy and Airship, meaning that they don´t push in. I´ve heard a lot of people say that Convoy is so hard to win when you´re the ones that have to protect the transport ships. It is hard to win when instead of being in front of the convoy, people leave the transport ships unescorted and play like the play in Randoms. In these game modes, the teams that push win! The teams that camp in the back almost always not only lose, but their asses handed to them.

with the air ship it should be mentioned, that control over the end point, the last third towards the end point, is critical. A few days ago, I had a team thinking that they didn't need to worry about “that” until later, completely disregarding the endpoint, but then going down in the crossfire within a few minutes. But even without the crossfire, the match would not have been winnable, as they would have had to push towards ships in good positions for defense.

You keep hitting the nail on the head with your comments about carriers. Especially in randoms with double cv and triple sub matches. Then add in you're low tier (God bless T9) getting struck by carriers, hybrids, and then pinged by subs non-stop. War Gambling I guess doesn't care when people like me quit after 8 years in the game. I still watch your videos so keep up the great work.

Been playing TVII ranked and it has been horrendous. I unfortunately missed out on Sharn 43, which seems to be the bb of choice, but the biggest issue are the atlanta and belfast's which are completely op in this setting. I played against two of them in a dd, which went about as well as you think it would. It's so frustrating to enter into a game mode where the deck is just stacked against you because you missed an event/didn't play back in the day/don't want to give WG money. It's been an absolutely misreble experience and I'm looking forward to TX ranked where at least the tech tree ships are competitive.

GOD i wish Asymms were still around. i love fighting against overwhelming odds alongside a band of brothers shame to say i don't enjoy the mode shuffle as much. glad you're enjoying it though :]

Agree with calling for Mode Shuffle to be permanently added to the game. Would prefer Convoy routes to be hidden, as well.

Even if Mode Shuffle doesn't become permanent, I hope it and Asymmetric come around quite often.

17:24 One could argue that same thing towards all the 30mm over match we've been seeing these past few years, it makes top tier less enjoyable and more passive by pushing a lot of ships out of the game that could have made an impact and are forced to play closer, because if a ships guns work regardless of range they have no reason to ever get close. At the very least a Legend Mod GL still has to get within 13km of it's target to drop those air strikes, and still has the fairly crappy main 283mm guns. Ohio can safely play from long range, ignoring the armour of basically every Cruiser it sees and even some ships in the BB role now, while having a powerful broadside and no real downsides. So should we also be asking for a nerf to 30mm over match? Like I don't want to sound like a dick, and I know I tend to be contrary to a lot of what you say PQ, but that's mostly because you only ever seem to focus on on the issues you yourself have, and not look at the bigger picture. Like lets look at some things here, the Meta became super passive around 3-4 years ago when the lock downs were at their peak. The CV rework was over 5 years ago, as testing started in 2018 releasing in very early 2019. Ohio released late 2019, Vermont late 2020, Georgia mid 2019, Shikishima was mid 2020, Kremlin was mid 2019, Thunderer was late 2019, Incomparable was very early 2022 nearly 2021, That's at least 7 30mm+ BBs released in kind of short order, taking the previous number between T9/10 from 3, to 10 in less than 4 years(and lets be real I likely missed a few in that time span). At T10 we now have, 13 BBs that over match 30mm or more, and 11 that don't. Then we get Super BBs where, 4 over match 30mm and 2 do not. Putting those totals to 17 and 13. I could do an equal rant about DD stealth and torp power steadily climbing as well. We have a mix of BBs not having to care, and DDs with torp range to safely play from outside of radar range and still get results, and those factors together are what contributes to the super passive game we have today. Though let's not kid ourselves the game has always been passive. These factors have just made it even more passive in recent years.

PQ, I think for your videos, add back the fade transitions for the battle footage as well, cause right with the sudden cut to the next footage can be a bit uneasy to watch, but it could be just me who watches a ton of your videos back then till these days.

Ohio is my forever BBFF... sorry Bourgogne... so many Schlieffens find out the hard way that they are no match... Ohio great in mode shuffle. Tanking 3-4 million is typical for this boat in this mode, unless you take an unlucky torp strike, which as noted, is the Ohio downside. You need DD spotting/hydro support.

This whole dutch airdrop ships are such a step backwards in game design. You can sit with that behind islands all game being intouchable for all surface ships and in return deal insane amount of damage. Seriously WG, who thought this is balanced? I can't understand? 😂😢 Sent help! 😂😂😂

Airship escort is the only enjoyable mode in mode shuffle All my experience on arms race and convoy are like "I'd rather play randoms than play this"

I don't like the arms race in mode shuffle. It's the same meta as the randoms except more of a gamble which side have better DDs. The buffs also spawn a bit too slow so there's no need to be aggressive from the start or otherwise you're sitting duck waiting for the buff for 2 minutes.

i dont think cosidering PVP matches any game mode matters in this game. it all comes down to player base. players base is new and so many noobs it makes experience bad and frustrating to play this game. i prefer playing operations/bots more fun than against noob players.

The mode is great but Convoy is dumb. And does anyone really like Arms Race? So its back to just Airship. WHY CANT WE JUST HAVE AIRSHIP!!!!??????

Oh god, why good streamers always cry about air play ? Flamu, PQ, Flambass (but atleast he play cv some times). Almost in every clip - nerf cv (even if in battle cv and sub`s are not exist). Did you cry about snipers and ask they nerf in shootes? Mb cry about vehicles in game like battlefild? I don`s think so. Mb about assasins or thome like this in MOBA or RPG games? This hate - it`s realy some abnormally. It`s like when you only begine to play - and dont know how to play - they kill you in 4 lvl when you seat behind the island or in smoke... I think there must be some changes in gameplay - of you in smoke, you are also blind like those who try to shoot you - like it was in 2015-2017, no one spot to you - you are blind to spoting frome smoke (its bullshit that dd in smoke are not blind, and others are blind). Full heal from DD`s torps - its nof fun when 2-3 dd`s in one side and thy make topredo-soup (hello to squad of 2-3 shimas or something like this). And 5 min after game start - some bb`s are die from this soup - yama can`t heal with his torp beld armor...

Still funny how wg nerfed GL airstrike to be 2 from 3 during testing and increase its cooldown then to give it the UU which reduces the cd to like 70~ secs and give it an extra charge.
