It is certainly possible to have joy simultaneously while hating your life to some extent really does need to be the case I think it is.

Hating the sinful things/actions/thoughts/etc in your life, repenting and coming more inline with God's commandments will always bring true joy.

The devil needs to not try to tyrannically force me to be angelically compromised against my household and this country anymore but he hates himself and everyone else, there is only one God.
