Hope You Guys Enjoyed LMK What you thought!!!

I bought my 2018 R last December. Like you, it’s an amazing car for the money and something I can realistically afford and run, being a dad with the usual outgoings of a family but with the heart of a petrolhead! I am an old VW fanboy who ran a mk2 GTI 16V back in the late 80s and owned various tuned Golf’s, Audi’s and the odd porkie or two when I was single. I don’t plan to map the ecu or tcu to maintain its longevity. But I have started to replace some parts to reduce its weight, one of the few criticisms Harry Metcalfe gave when he reviewed the mk7.5 R but he loved it as well. Hopefully reducing the weight of the R will benefit the handling, braking (already has the front Clubsport S discs), acceleration and fuel consumption. I’ll be keeping my R for a very long time as prices of newer cars are just crazy and the latest mk8 R isn’t for me even though it drives better.

hi bro i have 6spd dsg apr stg2 ecu, some people say that if you do a tcu tune the dsg fart gets smaller or disappears, is that true? Because of that, I'm debating whether to do tcu tune or not.

A bit of advice needed. I’m looking at 2018 golf r tomorrow.it as a Mrc stage 1 tuning, is this any good , ps I luv golfs but just not up to speed on them.

I have a mk6 gti 2 door promised it to my daughter.. I'm going to have to get a mk7.5 unfortunately only 50k sold in Australia. And inflation and covid tax they're fricken 60k plus
