Leave it to her to pick the laziest and fattest meal from the 20's. She must have missed the meals that have veggies. Her next mukbang will be something like 'pizzas of Italy' or 'cheeses of France'

I mean I have said it thrice as is, but this video serves to improve nothing of our understanding of History. Sure she talks about prohibition, the dancing, flappers, and some other things, but she misses out on the years leading to the roaring 20’s. Like for example, The Great War just ended and now with victory over Germany, America can now collect the spoils of war through their economic support of the entete. The temperance movement had gained enough that in 1918 we went dry. Oh and women got the right in 1920 with the 19th amendment. From the war we got the lost generation, a set of artists as well as writers who gave us beautiful novels, such as F Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, JRR Tolkien, and Remarque (all quiet on the western front fame). Also in this time you had the Harlem Renaissance was happening where african american artists in a district of Harlem began to blossom from the roaring twenties. I am really not an expert in said field, but it gave me one of my favorite poetry artists Langston Hughes. Other than that yea with Prohibition, you had your bootleggers who would actually go to canada and smuggle alcohol, you had the gangsters of chicago and new york having a power struggle over who owns turf. Elsewhere in the world you had the rise of fascism in Italy, a failed coup by Hitler which lead to his arrest and his jail sentence which saw him write Mein Kampf, oh and Ireland going through a revolution to shake off British rule which then ended in an Irish Civil War. So congrats on only talking about “decant” this era was. Mind you that you still had a vast majority of Farmers, sharecroppers, the Spanish Flu of 1918-1920’s, oh and the stock market crash of 1929 which lead to the depression era.

It's actually pretty sad to see how much her content has shifted and how lazy it's gotten. I know personality wise Chantal can be pretty detestable and has been the whole time, don't get me wrong lol. But she used to put a decent amount of effort in some of her videos, even as vague as the history lessons may be lol. And the 1920's themed video, while pretty cringey, is still a decent effort as well. This October ('21) came and went without a single genuine attempt at Vlogtober, even though a variety of effort based videos were promised to her audience. Instead she got further into a relationship with a sociopathic, violent loser, continued to use hard drugs and also get high on her many Beezin' streams, and just did live streams...but all...day....long. It's wild. She's SO unsavory and hard to watch genuinely now, before I can see why she had fans. Now I've watched and thought "How can this person still have genuine fans? Everyone else just dogs on her the whole time" (including myself). I can see why people found her cute and somewhat tolerable before now.
