They 500 are smaller than the 700. There are some grinders similar in size to the Powerking that had the Green teeth such as a Toro and a Bluebird. I just looked at what they had for a set up and made it work for this grinder.

No I never considered that. I was just going for a easy cut and weld. I think your idea would work. Give it a try and let me know how it works.

The teeth are the 500 series. The wheel they mount on is the same wheel that came with the machine, just drilled the holes a little bigger. I would think they run better than the factory but its hard to tell unless they are side by side. There is not a good way to sharpen the factory teeth. The factory teeth I left on in the center have dulled and 1 of them chipped on the corner. I can do several stumps and not notice a difference in the Greenteeth getting dull. If they do you just turn them 1/3 rotation and they lock down with another sharp edge.

skimpro2 so you think 700 teeth are to big and would not work? Since power king is 14 hp and some look to be 8 to 12 hp...and use the 500 teeth I think if they fit they may work well..

Check the spacing of the holes on the 700. The 500 series is 1.5" and fits the hole spacing already in the wheel.

No, at Idle it stops spinning. No clutch brake. Maybe your throttle cable is not set right or pinched.

No I don not make money with the stump grinder. I just have a lot of trees in my yard and I am always dealing with stumps.

A friend of mine charges by the inch of the stump and it has to be cut low to the ground or he charges extra to cut it. He charges $3.00 an inch but he has a big Vermeer grinder. Figure out what the market will bear and go from there. It’ll take longer to grind with one of these types of grinders so maybe charge $3.50 a inch and if they are far from you charge some for the trip too. If they have a bunch of stumps to do maybe charge a bit less per stump as you’ll make more from a bigger job. Good luck!

Not sure what a Laski is, but when I google that its a much bigger machine. The size of the chip is all dependent on the how much surface contact you have. My little machine works great for me. I Don't care about the chip size, just getting rid of stumps without renting anymore. Do you resharpen your teeth?

@@skimpro2 Been earning a living from stump grinding, amongst other things, for 10 years. The size of the chip indicates you are removing wood quicker. Long shavings mean you have it set up perfectly. Laskis are European, I have 2 models. Yes I resharpen my teeth, took about 2 years to get it right. The angle is so important
