This is my Quick & Dirty series where I give you exactly what you're looking for -- quick & dirty! Today we're looking at the Navigate Function! Navigate is super simple! Use it to take the user to another screen within Power Apps! We'll cover the 3 parameters needed to use the Navigate function: the target, the transition, and the parameters.

Just subscribed! I love the navigate function video. Quick question: What if I want to pass a record value from one form on screen 1 to a new screen 2 with a form? I need to pass a key (an ID field in a share point list) that will become a foreign key for a new record on screen 2.

Yes, you could put pass either the record itself or the ID of that record over to the next screen. Let me know if I can help further!

Hi, Basehumax! I have three options for you for a left navigation menu: 1. Video, where I build show how to create a simple menu: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gJ-lq9B1vb6sZoE.html 2. You can purchase my app shell here: learn.powerappstutorial.com/Jumpstart --I have a video demo here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/edGfaZWD1Ki4ZGQ.html 3. Soon (in the next few weeks), I'll provide a series of videos on how to build your own app shell which will include a menu. I hope that helps! 😊 I appreciate your interest and engagement!

You did a good job showing half of what we needed, but you didn't mention the UpdateContext at all and that was a really important piece. Can you please show that part and that would make this so much more valuable. Please...

You didn't talk about the most important thing, how did you access the passed parameters in the second screen
@PowerAppsTutorial
@PowerAppsTutorial 2 ай бұрын
I must have talked about it but didn't show it there! lol If you would like to access the passed parameter on the second screen, all you need to do is to call the context variable name on the second screen and the value/param appears!
