So far mine are fine, and I have not heard of any durability issues, and I feel like they would handle any issues well if they were brought to light. I feel ya though, it's a big investment and you want them to last a long time.

They are doing fantastic! I just did a bunch of work on the truck and was paying close attention to the pad wear. There are tons of thickness still on the pads, there is no grooving of the rotors, and no warping and shimmying when applying the brakes, which is a problem I have had with every other rotor I have used. They seem to be good as new!

That is a good question, and I don't know if there is a definitive answer, but I will answer it the best I can. The dry weight of a 5th gen 4runner is 4805lbs, and a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 6300lbs., so they are allowing for 1495 of payload on the vehicle. Though it is not advisable to exceed GVWR, truthfully a lot of "overlanders" do between gear and passengers. The closer you get to that GVWR on a consistent basis, the more you will likely notice longer braking distances and hotter brakes (which leads to warped rotors) quicker than you might experience in a smaller car with normal payloads. If you are noticing reduced braking efficiency due to consistent payload or towing, I think you should consider these. Hope this helps!

They sure are! I had a hard time with it too, until I thought about the added safety they gave to the vehicle, which helped pay that price. Not too many mods really increase the safety of the vehicle for you and your family. So far, they are still doing great!
