Like Fitz, I'm in the "gray area" between one generation and the next, but a generation later in my case. Instead of being a "Boomer-X" (sounds like "boomerang"), I'm "X-ennial"/"Oregon Trail Gen" (the old school PC game, not the historical era the game was based on).

Talk about the annual cycle of rallying the troops for NIL money reminded me of the times when Wichita had seemingly yearly Save the Wings (professional indoor soccer) campaigns. People got weary of it and it kind of became a joke.
