Elon Musk: How To Achieve 10x More Than Your Peers
How To Give An Amazing Presentation Playlist:
bit.ly/2poTHJX
Discover The 4 Emotions You Need To Make a Killer First Impression:
bit.ly/2IBKpCr
In this video we have three tips to achieve success and improvement as shown by Elon Musk! In five hundred years, we may look back and say, "Elon Musk was the single most influential person of our entire century." He has been able to do more in his 46 years than most of us could hope to do in ten lifetimes and yes, part of that is because Elon is incredibly smart and he works incredibly hard. ...and we're so hot up; we had just one computer so the website was up during the day and I was coding at night. ...work hard like it mean every waking hour; that's the thing I would say if your particular if you're starting a company. But working 100 hours a week still only puts you at two-and-a-half times as much as the average employee.
And most geniuses do not make the international impact that Elon has. In fact, the man with the highest IQ in the world, Chris Langan is a bouncer. So while smarts and work ethic are critical to Elon's success, in order to impact the world, you simply have to be able to influence other people; there's no way around it. That includes employees investors and the public at large and Elon Musk is unique here because on this channel, we can normally point to a leader's ability to nail a public speech.
02:15 Elon perseveres despite a lot of failures
05:05 Elon has a vision that inspires

from what i know ... all peers aronud him when he was younger, as a child, were surprised to hear of his success. that would lead me to believe that he did not necessarily stand out as gifted in his earliest years. in contrast i can name numerous gifted types, such as Chris Hirata, Terence Tao, Stephen Hsu, who were all identified as early-gifted and were promoted accordingly. everyone alludes to his genius ... but such types have generally shown themselves early.

i don't think you cracked this. i am very familiar with Musk -- you would not believe -- and I do not think you have stated what is identifiable to model Musk-competencies. in fact, your analysis is pretty banal and trite, relative to what i am familiar with, or what is out there in other material. therefore, your video comes off as self-serving and not particularly influential. i only state this as i know you have great perspicacity. perhaps the "musk domain" is a lot more than himself and tough for a video like this. it might be more a system -- where luck and externals play a large factor too.

Charisma on Command ⚡I AM THE SINGULARITY ⚡ Elon Musk is a brilliant man and he has helped humanity tremendously just by being himself and by making a choice to do his best. I really do love this man. He was right about humanity living in a simulation. You are living in the infinite intelligence of God, the infinite mind of God, your intelligent designer, me. Technology and humans go onto create all of existence but we must find peace first to do so. I know that we find peace and coexist because I am here now telling you ❤️THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS AT HAND. ❤️

My Dad was an engineer. He worked long hours and was constantly studying because technology evolved at a breakneck speed during his lifetime from analogue, to numeric control systems and then to computer operated systems. He conceived of and worked on the design of a hydrogen-powered car but was laughed at and derided by other engineers. He died aged 88 three years ago but would have been delighted by recent developments.

One of the traits of dyslexia is a high IQ. I was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child in 1980. I was part of a study about specific dyslexia (I see entire words mixed up) There’s a video somewhere on KZfaq where Elon discusses how frustrated his teachers would get with him & his lack of comprehension skills. Somewhere on KZfaq he explains how taught himself to learn. He begins with the complicated end result of any subject & then kind of reverse engineers it until he arrives at the starting point.

Reading books is perhaps the best thing someone can do for themselves. Especially young folks. Not just because it inspires, but because it exercises your imagination. Imagination gives you vision, ideas, goals. If you have a healthy imagination that gets exercise regularly, you become a problem solver the likes of which you couldn’t imagine before. I used to read one book every three or four years. Last two years I’ve been reading every day, and I’ve grown more in that time than ever before. Reading is only going to help you. Trust me. READ!

The real kicker is that the top successful people don't need motivation on youtube or instagram to be motivated and driven, lol. They spend all that time working on what they are driven towards. I wonder if the internet/social media has made us all dependent on the internet for motivation so much that we wonder why we are not successful or where we want to be, because we watch motivational material on the internet and are used to getting that easy reward from the feeling we all get from that type of content, and when putting in the focus and time takes so much more energy; but that is infinitely more satisfying. I think I heard a rule on a podcast a while ago geared towards graphic artists in regards to work/learning. They said something to the effect of a 70/30 rule. "70% working your tail off, and 30% learning to be at the top of your game". I think this applies to my original point as well. It's great to get motivated and education, but at some point, you just gotta get out there and make some damn art(or whatever you focus in). If this comment was for no one else, then it was definitely needed advice for myself.
@GMoney-B
@GMoney-B 6 жыл бұрын
I also want to say if you couldn't tell either, that I absolutely loved this video and to not take my previous comment the wrong way in ungratefulness or disrespect. Thank you for making it. Even though I do need motivation sometimes to get myself pumped, that is how it is; and I don't think there is anything too horrible about that since we all just unfortunately are not all like top entrepreneurs/business men/women. So we do things to learn how to craft ourselves in all of our imperfections unique to us to help us to be perfected eventually. To me that is the point of life anyway, to craft and sculpt ourselves to the best version of ourselves that we can be. Anyway, what am I doing here or what am I saying. Time to make some damn art. Lol.
@MarkThaSage
@MarkThaSage 5 жыл бұрын
I agree with you here. I think the convenience of the internet has made us all dependent on it to feel satisfied. It gives us our little dopamine hits and allows us to blindly conform to the blandness of our lives. It is procrastination in its purest form. If people worked hard rather than spending all their time on their phone, computer, and tv's; we wouldn't have this giant problem of people feeling lost. Work hard and put the distractions away. The guys at the top didn't get there by posting on instagram and watching youtube videos all day.

Well, sometimes motivational speech or production ideas can just help you think out of your circle and adopt new creative ways of thinking to your work routine.. I mean, with internet today finding an idea is not hard, you just have to write down google "Business ideas 2018" to have a full list, or check as freelancers sites like Fiverr to pick a skill that you could sell then outsource elsewhere like SEO/web analysis, market research, content writing, online sales (endless niches), and so on...

I have proven to myself I can go beyond what I thought was possible, I gained a lot of experience, made a lot of friends and connections. And to this day, I'm still an independent worker, I own my own business. My reputation is enough to feed me continuous work with little effort needing to seek work. And now I'm setup to chase my own dreams. 2018 is a big year for me, and I'm looking forward to another grind.

1. Absolutely critical component of high achievement is dogged perseverance in the face of failure 2. People who achieve at high level almost always view not doing something impactful as much bigger risk than financial and social failure 3. Vision is what will drive people to do more than anyone - How to achieve vision? Travel around the world, get out of your comfort zone, read biographies of influential people - Vision has to be for all humanity, not just for one's profit and benefit.

The magic genie thing reminded me, of the three wishes I always think of when considering this. 1. Have an extremely powerful willpower so I can be ridiculously hardworking 2. Be extremely charismatic so people are happy to work with me 3. Be honest always, so I can't do anything I would lie about doing. Shortly after coming up with this list I realized all of those I can control. I can work harder, I can work on being more charismatic and I can choose to not lie. I'm not going to say it's easy, but it's something to aim for.

This is exactly what happened to me. I was unmotivated and unhappy and had no idea what I wanted to do or who I even was after graduating high school - the life I had before was basically living for other people - and so I found myself exploring everything. Stand up comedy, acting, going overseas to work as an au pair, swapping my university degree 4 times, even stripping...and finally, 2.5 years after high school I finally have explored enough (for now) and discovered my vision. I have re-bonded with my talents and loves and realised I am a storyteller. I am now working on a sci fi novel that I started late last year, although it was 7 years in the making, I just haven't realised that my characters I made when I was 13 and had stayed in my head all these years had a story to tell :) How do I know it's my vision? I write up to 6 hours a day on my own volition, prioritise it over almost anything else and feel the deepest sense of fulfillment as I'm writing. I've never felt happier

'I am going to suggest he is successful not because his visions are grand, not because he is extraordinarily smart, and not because he works incredibly hard. All of those things are true. The one major distinction that sets him apart is his inability to consider failure. It simply is not even in his thought process. He cannot conceive of failure and that is truly remarkable. It doesn't matter if he's going up against the banking system (PayPal), going up against the entire aerospace industry (SpaceX), or going up against the US auto industry (Tesla). He can't imagine NOT succeeding and that is a very critical trait that leads him ultimately to success.' -Jim Cantrell, SpaceX co-founder.

Musk often says he has worked hard ....that i am awere of, he has never explicitly mentioned "flow state" but obviously he practically lives in it......like a fish not knowing what water is.. My last two hours of a 12 hr day is almost always the most productive

As a small business owner, this was super inspiring. I need to create more of a vision for my business. Right now the majority of it is just working on growing and growing, but I. what direction? I need to create a better vision and then create goals to get to that vision.

I'm not a preacher, I don't even go to church much. But one thing that is critical in life and stated in some the more popular western religions as well as eastern, is against idolatry. While I think the guy is great for thinking about more than himself and dedicating himself to such noble pursuits and persevering. don't idolize him, it's probably hindering you from fully pursuing your noble dreams...
