POWERFULL, WIFI. Deco XE 75 Pro...AXE5400???

Quick look at the Deco XE75 Pro and how it is working out for us. Our old system was buffering way too much. I thought it was the service provider, boy was I wrong!! Speeds are looking very good. The performance has been great, after doing some fine tuning in the advanced settings.

There is a Web interface but it's for viewing only. All changes and alterations must be done on the app.

For anyone finding this conversation later: These are great access points but as a router they are atrocious, with several key features for nerds missing. If you just want something that works and never has to be adjusted, these are great! If you need anything out of the ordinary (a less popular DDNS, DNS registration of DHCP leases or something of that ilk) these are not going to deliver. I’ve kept mine, given their coverage is super strong and their wireless back haul really good, but put them into Access Point mode and with another router (OPNsense) in front.

Question: how to start with a mesh system ? I have a normal router (with wifi) and 4 output ports, that I currently use - If I replace my router with one of the mesh system then I have a limit of ethernet ports so do i first have a switch from my modem and then use one output to the mesh system or ???

Your original gateway model with ports will be ahead of the mesh modem, If I am reading your question correctly...yes. You would turn off the wifi in the gateway modem. The mesh will be the wifi system and also allows hardwired connections remotely to the second mesh router or other mesh routers.

Need help please. I am using Tp link Deco M4 for the past 2 years. It suddenly stopped working. The main deco which is kept downstairs is working but the other 2 Decos on the top floor are not giving internet. The deco app shows no error. But the internet keeps on disconnecting every 5 to 10 seconds or it just stops. The wifi signal is there but no data on the top floor Decos. I have not changed the positions of the Decos. Have done nothing new. Why would this happen, what should i do ?

I just installed a TP-Link Deco AXE5400 2 pack Tri-Band WiFi 6E Mesh System (Deco XE75) on my 1560 sq. ft. home with 8 existing wireless solar powered security cameras in the front/back of my house and they all work as before using the same network ID and password from my previous Google/Nest Wifi system. Have AT&T fiber 1 gig.

@@LeftsnRights88I’m looking at getting this system to replace my current Nest Wifi 3 point setup which has sadly gotten worse over time. Have you been happy with this Deco system? I need to reach three outside cameras as well.
