In this video I show a sample lower body workout for calves, hamstrings, and quadriceps using only the Powertec Levergym. Most importantly, I show how I’ve hacked the Levergym Squat exercise to be more effective and more lower back friendly.
This is Part 3 and the final chapter in a series. In Part 1, I performed an upper body push workout for chest, shoulders, and triceps using only the Levergym. In Part 2, I performed an upper body pull workout for back width, back thickness, traps, biceps, and forearms using only the Levergym.
My system of training is low volume and high intensity, which is largely inspired by Dante Trudel’s DC Training Program.

It really changed the quality of the squat entirely. As for the machine flipping, I have weight on the weight horns and on the pulley system. In addition, there is the flat plate that runs across the front of the machine between the two legs which also helps. I mean, I had 6 45s on the machine and it didn’t budge an inch.

@@markgoss9150 that’s odd. Is there an area where the black / yellow paint is worn off / not properly painted? You can always sand the rust off and then paint over it. Powertec includes that touch up paint depending on how big of a rust spot it is. My garage gets humid sometimes too, but never to the point there is moisture on the mirrors, equipment, etc. You may need to get a dehumidifier.

How confident do you feel about those two plates that are supposed to give you additional adjustment points for the lever arms? I was doing squats the other day with the safety rod in one of the front holes and I thought,if those four bolts fail and the two plates come off it could be extremely dangerous. So I started just using the ones in the back which are less ideal. I've ordered a second safety rod from Powertec so I can keep it in the back one notch under but curious about your thoughts. Thanks!
