MakeSkyBlue is the original, it has to be since it was around at aliexpress almost a year before the PowMr showed up. PowMr is just a copycat that ripp of others without doing any original work. He cant copy the makeskyblue algorithm because he does not understand it. That is why the algorithm of the PowMr is bad and it loses tracking a lot, ending up doing PWM charging very often. Chinese copying chinese cant be good. MakeSkyblue is definitely the better choice of them two. Its a good controller but Epever Tracer is still the best bang for the buck IMO.

I put a Epever Tracer 40A and a PowMR 60A side by side and the MPPT tracking on the PowMr is noticeably poorer compared to the Tracer

This POWMR is a kock off of the "MakeSkyBlue" charger (30A-V118) $80.00; 12V/24V/36V/48V; which means PowMr does not receive the same v119 hardware or software updates.

Thanks for the review. It would be nice to see if really can pull 60 amps. Some time in the near future i will be going off grid and i was considering start with cheap PWM and after a while buy the PCM60X from MPP Solar. But this may be a cheaper option if it can do what they claim. Cheers.

You can tell that the PowMr is the knockoff from looking at the board inside, the fit and finish, and the hardware/firmware version. When the units first boot up they flash the hardware version. The MSB is using the latest V118 board. The Wifi version is V119 and has an added wifi module but is otherwise the same hardware/firmware as the V118. The PowMr is using a clone of the MSB hardware V113 board so it is older and running a far older firmware.

I just bought a ProMr, doing my first test I find the read out useless my recommendation have a meter that will give you a more accurate measurement. I also have a Makeskyblue which I have been using for two yrs now that one when I first got the reading was off as well but on calculating and resetting it now gives the correct readout the only thing after two years I notice it starts to degrade in performance hence I got the ProMr. Yes I try resetting the ProMr too but that don't work. Oh one more thing the Makeskyblue tracks allot faster. I will also say if you are going to buy any of the two MPPT change controller to use on lithium batteries make sure to calibrate them first to get the right reading are it may end up over charging your batteries still I give the Makeskyblue a higher marks over the ProMr. One more observation, even though the ProMr have a higher readout as it relates to volts when it come on to amps it reads a bit lower on the ProMr. I have 800w of s.panels on both change controllers. Man I now need to get a PWM change controller to do a comparison of read out but I trust the Makeskyblue readout far, far more than that of the ProMr.

could i use this makeSkyblue charger to charge a 16S li-ion samsung SDI battery pack to max 58V ? i dont want to split the batteryback and my inverter can handle max input of 66V. So to be on the save side i want to charge the pack to a max of 58V, wich is the voltage a 14S li-ion pack would have at max charge.

Thank you for reviewing. I have 85.6 Voc, 72.0 Vmpp panels and 51.2V (48V) 5.12kWh lithium batteries. I'm assuming these panels need to be done in series for the MSB controllers? Would this 60A MSB charger work well for me, or should I look at different brands? I ask as I have non-standard panel voltages and looking for two decent, but reasonably priced chargers as I'd like to put two 4-435W panels systems together (facing 2 different directions) with two 2000W limiting inverters feed by the batteries mentioned above. I'm assuming two of these chargers could be wired in parallel feeding the same battery system (even though one array would face south, the other west), correct?

Купил в разное время 3 контроллера PowMr 60a, все они завышают показатели по току (10%), есть завышение по напряжению на 0.3 на одном, не всегда сохраняются настройки после выкл\вкл, и самое страшное - на одном странное поведение, в моментах резкой большой нагрузки инвертора, когда контроллер переходит из простоя в мппт режим - он вдруг перестаёт использовать настройки верхней границы напряжения и использует 30-31в (24в система). Другие два делают резкий скачек , но через несколько сек возвращаются, а этот нет. Использую их на свинце, как будут работать с литием интересно. Еще не понравилось что нет никакой статистики, как в самых дешевых шим контроллераз - суточной выработки по Ач, ВтЧ, нет отдельной кнопки вкл\выкл нагрузки, нет юсб разъема, разъема под снятия данных по rs232, нет калибровки напряжения\тока, неудобные клеммы для проводов, а именно сечение для 60а явно маленькое. Как ваши контроллеры работают в системе? Оранжевый хорошо контролирует непревышение при скачках верхнее напряжение?

PowMR викинь нахєр зразу, толку з нього 0, глючний кусок гавна. Він працює на старій прошивці 113, яку китайці змогли вкрасти у мейкскайблу, тому воно глючить, і при нагрузці тупо скидає вольтаж до рівня заряду акумуляторів і назад не повертається, поки не перезагрузиш. Це просирає більшу половину потужності панелей. В мейкскайблу давно це пофіксили, там зараз 118 прошивка, можна побачити при включенні, а зелене лайно при включенні якусь хєрню показує. Я давно перейшов на мейк і аж вздихнув з полегшенням, зовсім інша робота, жодних проблем!
