Hi friends, over the last few weeks I've received a lot of questions about my magical practice, including how I bring it together with somatic psychology and my own personal healing journey. In this video I'm sharing the story of a spell that was particularly important to me, and explaining how somatics and spells fit together better than you might imagine.
About Me: Hi, I'm Elizabeth. I'm a third year graduate student studying somatic psychology. In these videos I'm sharing my personal practice, where I bring together tools from somatic psychology and witchcraft to help people address issues like PMDD, anxiety, and depression.

Witches are just women who have the courage to be free and follow their truth unapologetically. Admirable.

Love your videos, Elizabeth. Glad I found you. I also practice spellcrafting to move through these periods of dense energy. Thanks for being an vulnerable. I have a theory that women who undergo this have a very deep spiritual mission to fulfill on this earth.

I am so so so happy I stumbled to your corner of KZfaq 🙏🏼 Thank you, universe. I am beginning my masters at CIIS next week (ICP, not somatic). I feel like I landed here at the right time ❤️ I found you through Forest’s videos and I just love you both. Thank you for this content. Thank you for making space for practice and ritual. Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks Elizabeth! I’m doing a PhD in eco feminism and I wrote about the power of witchcraft for activism but I also recognise it as a tool for healing and self empowerment. I deal with pmdd and this was such a lovely video to find, it speaks to my soul, thank you and would love to speak about your research sometime x

Thank you so much. You have helped me put together so many different pieces. they just needed a little help knowing how they fit with each other. It’s been an incredibly long and tiring journey trying to stay afloat in so much confusion. Things aren’t great but I feel worlds better these days and your videos make me so encouraged to go to school/ workshops/ events I’m so excited to plan! We can do this together! I truly believe PMDD is a level of generational trauma- all the things we have had to bottle up for ourselves and for those after and before us. For a little context I was raised super religious so witchcraft has felt very invalidating in a way bc I felt shame. But you talking about how it is a somatic way of working with your intentions OOOOOOOO THAT FIRED ME UP THANK YOU THANK YOU ✨✨✨

I have known I’ve had PMDD since I was a teenager and have always felt like there is not enough research or information out there to even know of a possible medical solution. I found your page after listening to the podcast episode and I just want to say thank you for bringing so much serenity and awareness to this topic in a way that feels accepting and mindful. I also have a witchcraft practice and finding this video on the Leo fool moon today is such a godsend! Please keep sharing your experiences you are going to help so many people ❤️

Oh my God, you don’t know how well this video made me feel. I am about three years into my spiritual journey, and this has to be the least spiritual connection that I feel when I am in a hell week. Even just watching your video, I was still very skeptical and cynical thinking, but continuing to watch helped leap out that higher conscious mind and I broke into tears because everything that you talked about resonated with me

Love your videos and energy so much. Just this week I connected the dots that what I have been suffering from for years (maybe longer) is PMDD. Mine is extreme fatigue about 1.5 weeks before my period and a bunch of other things that you mention as well. I am just researching and discovering how to manage this and your approach has honestly been the best thing I have come across. Plus this video of combining magick with PMDD feels like a revolution. I am so grateful for you, thank you.

Loved this video! I feel so similar to you. I love crystals and I’ve been practicing mindfulness since May 2021. I wear crystals every day and I also love how my singing bowl sounds. Plus I have PMDD! Again, I don’t feel alone with your videos. Thank you so much for sharing 🫶🏻

Have most people with PMDD experienced Trauma in childhood? I feel like my brain was built around trauma and maybe is a foundation for PMDD. Curious if this is common for others? Thanks anyone for answering.

I think trauma makes the inner critic/shame/despair more easily triggered since there's life-long history of those feelings there and those negative feelings are familiar from childhood. Also one video I found recently on KZfaq on the research shows the limbic system/amygdala is more active during pmdd--which would be that fight/flight/trauma-remembering parts of your brain and the more executive parts are less active making it harder to reason out of it at the same time. People without a trauma background--or when you've done work to address that background--probably see those spirals lessen. I definitely feel more despairing in those mood episodes when I'm reminded of my childhood or it becomes that narrative of "I'm broken" etc as Elizabeth mentions in one of her videos.

There IS a relation between the two, but not every PMDD patient underwent childhood trauma. Many are sexual assault survivors. Others have just had the amount of trauma that comes naturally in life, but develop PMDD as a consequence. Look inside KZfaq for more videos on this subject. There are several very good ones.

I heard some interesting information the other day about how the menstrual cycles of healthy women should be in sync with the new moon and I’m curious to know what your thoughts and opinions are on this? From any and all angles and perspectives, especially Sally’s perspective Thank you for doing what you do 🙏🏻

Thank you for this video. All my self work has been leading up to this video. I had a moment the other day with a tree, where I felt as if I sprouted from the ground and had roots! It was amazing! PMDD has ruined so many things 😪. But the divine feminine has come to clear the demon. Much love Sister. ❤️

love this video! i really enjoy your perspective on witchcraft and how it can help with pmdd especially as it relates to somatic psychology. also, i wanted to let you know that the term "smudging" in a witchcraft context is a misnomer as it is actually a sacred practice for certain indigenous tribes. i believe the correct term in a witchcraft context is "smoke cleansing" thanks again for such a great video, i'll definitely be trying some of this out ☺
