@@TbhBro99 Heard it but you can clearly say its complex composition but Harimuraleeravam hits different everytime I hear it. It's a perfect balance between complex and soothing melodic type song. Clever composition and perfect vocalist. Huge respect to Raveendran master and KJY sir.

The singer KJ Yesudas is a legend and a trained classic Carnatic music singer. He trained for many years under the tutelage of the genius maestro- Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar. This movie had classic Carnatic music with rich musical heritage and intonations and is a pretty good Mohanlal movie as well.

In the movie, it should appear simple and effortless, a song one sings to himself so casually, nevertheless it should reveal his extraordinary musical abilities... It's wonderful how raveendran master has managed to do that.. beginning of the song appears simple but each stanza ends with something which leave us "wow" ❤️

80s, 90s Malayalam classics - songs are exceptional. Here, the heroine falls in love with the hero when she realises he is gifted in classical music - this is a theme repeated over and over in Mohanlal movies. Film critics point out that it positions him as an upper-caste man, making him more desirable. Sort of how Elizabeth Bennet falls in love with Darcy after seeing his estate at Pemberley.

One interesting fact about Raveendran mash is that he composes the background score of the song without the notes/score written down. He simply sings what he wants to the musicians and they play it. He said this in an interview. And the way he uses different instruments in the songs is incredible, especially violin.

I dont think Rick and Korbin were able to appreciate the minute nuances (variations) of the song. The complexity of the initial humming piece also went unnoticed. It is difficult to sing such songs which has so many variations, and despite that bringing in so much bhaava to the song. Yesudas is a master in that. Also please mention composer (here its Raveendran) and lyricist (here its Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri).
