Curious--do you add oil to the engine to compensate for the volume of the tank or when filling the tank before shut down the engine runs low of oil by the volume of the tank?

Yes, extra oil is needed

This is exactly what I've been looking for to install on my 67 Mustang. It sits for long periods and the engine is fairly fresh. I'm tired of pulling coil and cranking as preluber but not gonna pay $600 plus for a swanky kit from Summit. Where can I find this setup ?

With those 2 e53s in the background it’s a coincidence that I clicked on here because I leave my X5 out for a long time and I was thinking what possible way to pre lube the M54 every time I start it.

Would be easy to Tee fitting into the oil line at the head with this system
