Today we are discussing the Roger Dubuis Easy Diver Chronograph, a 46mm piece. This is an imposing and mammoth timepiece but is fairly slim considering its size, measuring 15mm in thickness. Made for larger wrists, the watch measures 58mm from lug to lug.
This piece is limited series and is one of 888. A triple lug system is used as a broad strap is necessary to keep the watch from moving from side to side and creates a unique aesthetic. The strap is fixed in place with screws, making it far more secure than spring bars, and is beautifully integrated onto the case. A double deployment clasp completes the watch and is beautifully finished with intricate details on the interior and exterior.
The dial is exceptional and explosive. There is a segmentation that separates the bronze and somewhat metallic grained dial from its individual components. There is quite a bit of color, with red, cobalt blue, bronze, and silver accents. It has the visual impact that is necessary with a large case like this. Carbon fiber accents the lugs to create a seamless and beautifully integrated aesthetic.
An exhibition caseback covers a Roger Dubuis caliber RD 56. It is an evolved version of the Lemania 2310 caliber. The watch is column wheel, with a stately 18,000 vibration per hour beat rate.
