It's been a while since I've made a video or dropped some impressions, so here we are! THIS is the type of content that I'd like to be making more of in the future: not necessarily reviewing products stand-alone but more through the lens of experiences. Products come and go, and while dedicated reviews might generate more views, I'd much prefer to have content that I can look back on fondly.

Thanks Precog. Have you guys considered doing an episode of Pink Noise together? Maybe you could blindfold Mr. Ryan and get him to try some IEMs from your own collection.

You just described my relationship with my IE200. By no objective measure is it better than anything else I have here, but it’s the one I reach out to the most. Something about the sound I can’t explain, and the comfort. Go figure.

For what is supposedly "out of your comfort zone", this was fantastic. I'm totally for this type of direction from the channel. Likewise when you mentioned viewing products through the lens of experience, it got me wondering if you could do reviews based around an experience that a certain product or products give you. This could also open the door for reviewing groups of products that all share a certain type of experience or theme. Just some food for thought. Whatever you end up doing, I'll definitely be here watching.

Two of my favorite gear reviewers in symphony! Having access to so many IEMs is an insane boon, you develop listening experience a hell lot faster than the average joe like me who doesn't have access to demo units. Speaking of the SA6 MKII, I get the impression that it's pretty much a cash grab with no real improvements over it's two predecessors which is a bit crazy because the OG SA6 is like 3 years old by now.

Juzear 41T sounded a bit compressed to me. But they do pull me in to listen again and again. Weird. One thing that reviewers do not do much is taking gear with different technologies and describe the difference in perception of the same music piece. Like, point to a specific passage or nuance. Basically, give some hints to the audience.

Their magic actually come from their intention to put their focus to make 41t sounds really musical instead of leaning toward to their technicality. Their drivers imo is quite competent though, and respond well to any eq. Yesterday I just tried to auto eq it to blessing 3, and they sound more technical afterward. The sector which is holding back by them can be revealed easily.

Hi, Precog, congrats for the video - like it very much. What's your preference with the SA6 mk2 - bass switch Off or On?
@Precogvision
@Precogvision Жыл бұрын
Logically the switch off would probably be best for most people. But my impression is that I prefer it with the switch on because at least then it sounds more special (compared to the original SA6) and leans into the warm/musical type of sound more

We know you shoot from the hip Precog, there's no bull - just your honest unbiased opinion. That's a huge benefit to your delivery. You need to review the U6T! I don't think you've video reviewed it - if memory serves me. I hope if Moondrop put out a model above the S8, they do a proper nozzle bore for the inner ear. The comfort was not brill in my ear on them, despite me loving the sound...

You find certain sets pleasing and not pleasing not because of the way they're squig line looks but because of your hair cells in your ear for someone like myself who is older I have had years of heavy metal concerts military explosions you name it which have damaged those hairs so I don't pick up sounds the way you would you don't pick up sounds the way I do so each set is going to be unique to everyone I think. I think that's why testing something out is so important but you know not everyone has the ability to do that My opinion on that is find a company like Penon Hifi go that has a fairly robust exchange program so that if you do get you a set of SA6s and you go wow these really don't do what I think you can return them get something different. Good work thanks for everything you'll do

You've got to try comply tips on the S8. If you're like me, I haven't been a fan in the past due to how they affect a sig but here it's doing it in all the right ways. They have always sounded open and that s8 solidity remains.

@Precogvision

Hmm, some ones that come to mind are the Andro 2020, XBA-N3, and Hyla Sarda. They have flaws that would definitely be considered dealbreakers to some listeners, but they also do some things exceptionally (e.g., imaging for the Andro and bass for the XBA-N3 and Sarda). For more budget oriented stuff, the Moondrop KXXS comes to mind just because it was one of my first IEMs :)
