Back in the 80s I worked with a middle-aged single woman who was left a nice sum of money by her grandma. She took herself off to St Lucia for her first ever overseas holiday where she was wooed by one of the 20-something hotel waiters. When she came back to the UK totally believing she was in love we all warned her to be careful. She ignored us and the advice of her bank manager. She fell for every line this man (who turned out to be married with children and a wife who was in on the scam) spun her and the last we heard the "love of her life" had taken her for every penny and she couldn't even afford a flight home. Any middle-aged woman who goes to a foreign country and thinks she's "pulled" a good looking young local is totally deluded.

I’m Swedish and lived in Istanbul for 9 years. I was constantly pursued by creeps, but also met some very nice guys - a pilot, a marine engineer, a professional interpreter - who I am still in touch with 7 or 8 years later. They were all younger than me (Turkish men age terribly, both on the outside and in their minds)but I never paid for so much as a cup of tea for them. Either they paid, or we went 50/50. The key here is education and background - they need to have a university education from a good university and must have lived abroad, in a Western country, and be from a modern, liberal family with educated parents. Otherwise it will never work. And if the guy is Kurdish, like the first one in this film, or a villager, like the second, forget it - it’s doomed from the start. He will only be in it for sex and money, as both are pretty much inaccessible to him. I wish these women had some awareness of cultural differences!! For one thing, a Turkish or Kurdish man would never in a million years ask a woman from his own country for money - the man is the provider, and a local girl would laugh in his face if he tried to get her to pay for anything, even a tea.

all the men from turkey in this programme are Kurds. As I'm sure you already know life is difficult in turkey people can't even afford to buy a loaf of bread at times. but you're right a real Turk, or Kurd would never ask for a penny as it's too shameful for them to do so. however like I've stated many times in the video comment section these men are Kurds and there's a big difference culturally. they are usually very conservative and they have it the hardest in turkey.

No most women never dream of marrying someone who contributes absolutely nothing to the relationship. How does this make anyone feel special?
@gw7768
@gw7768 Жыл бұрын
I can advice western women once and for all. I am Kenyan 🇰🇪and culturally, men dont marry older women. It's not the norm anywhere is Africa for a young man to marry a woman twice his age. It happens once in a while but mostly for money or other status and never for love. Even here in Africa, younger men don't normally marry older women. At least never openly. So ..... The other thing, how men treat women in marriage in Africa is a world apart from Europe or the West. Very different. That said let's use alittle common sense. Marriage is not easy even with someone of the same culture or around age group. What do you expect when it's two people ages apart, different cultures, miles apart, different economic statuses etc? Surely...at the very least, have a smaller age gap and experience divide if nothing else. Reduce the number of factors that are not common.

I've been to Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt. I'm in my 50's yet the young men that are 'attracted' to me are uncountable. If I didnt realise that there is a motive behind the attraction, I could easily have my choice of a young man. When it first happened I would talk and laugh with them then walk away. I have now developed a certain look that deters them from even approaching me. How any older woman can fall for these men is beyond my comprehension. Yes, some are handsome, but that makes it even more doubtful as to why they would be attracted to me. Ive watched them. When they get nowhere with me, they move on to the next middle aged women in the hope they find someone guillible enough to fall for them. I suppose it could take a while, but eventually it works, as these programmes show.

@@francescadantonio1173 believe me, I totally understand. My dad was/is very charming, handsome, intelligent etc. But, as I mentioned, and you're experiencing, the cultural differences caused huge issues. After many years of marriage, I saw my mom lose herself in a way, some of her spark and vibrance dimmed and she became almost subservient just to maintain the peace. Women in middle eastern countries are treated as less, unfortunately...expected to strictly obey and honor their husbands in every way, shape and form. This is not to say that they have a horrible marriage, but there was much more compromising, etc on my mom's part than his. The problem is people need to get over the notion that being alone is a negative state of existence. Oftentimes, being alone is a lot better than being in struggle love, abuse, lying, cheating, scamming etc. I have a hard time believing that a person who truly loves themselves would allow themselves to get scammed in such a way all for the sake of “love”. The word love is overused and none of these situations embodied the concept of love. Get a hobby , do things that you love and in time you will meet someone that you have things in common with. What exactly does a 41 year old woman have in common with a 21 year old man? Men mature much slower , so essentially she’s his mother and probably having to speak to him as her child. It’s just as creepy in the reverse with older men and younger women, the only difference is that younger woman has a higher probability of being a tad bit more mature than the younger male situation. Just be honest and say you wanted a “play thing” who was younger because there’s no flipping way you wanted a mutually exclusive relationship with someone 20 years your junior.

You can smell them a mile off. there is one I rather like, who may or may Not be a scammer, but No way is it going anywhere. 20 year age difference, totally different cultures and religions; we have a spark, but there is never going to be a flame. They played an interesting move, by telling me they weren't interested in a relationship, and got wrong footed when I said 'Great, neither am I! Lets, face it, I am old enough to be your parent, you could still be out there having a family, I am old and fat, you have a good job, why on earth would you want me? Let's leave it, shall we?' I got told that actually this person finds old and fat attractive, and likes my mind. Their age group does not have my knowledge or experience. Yeah, right! Actually, I don't think this person is a scammer, but they are not getting the chance! All it takes is self awareness.

When I was 32, I met a guy who was 20. We had a bit of a fling. Then he asked to ‘borrow’ £60. I didn’t fancy him anymore after that because he’s clearly a loser 😂 He tried to contact me a while later and I ignored him because the asking for money thing put me off him. He’s pathetic. These women are so gullible. How can they be attracted to a man who asks for money. Men are supposed to provide. It’s biological.

P.s. Taher probably never was a lawyer , all those Egyptians say there Doctors, Engineers, lawyers etc, and usually say they need to move out of Egypt so they can get work! And why didn’t the women whose men were living in U.K., threaten them with immigration?? Ann Marie’s guy stayed with her 5 yrs for money and probably had his U.K. citizenship by then! There is the other side of the story. I can't believe Tracy is once again trying to import a much younger man from a poorer country. There is something predatory about that behaviour. She's not just the naive trusting person she is trying to portray. She is intentionally seeking out much younger deprived men to be with. Why not a UK based Turkish man that age? She knows if they are not desperate and poor they would never choose her.

I beg all ladies who get approached, if you want to have fun with a guys knock yourself out but please please make no lifetime commitments or provide any access to your real life. Not to mention, a muslim man who really likes you would never take money from you. I'm married and carrying my husbands baby but i wouldn't give him £5 😂 that's his job Also, the lady who said that turkish men have their own money and their women have no access to it.. if he actually values you, this is absolutely false. My turkish grandparents keep their money together and my grandad gets his pension in cash and runs home to give it to my grandma and this is very much the norm in our community.
