What else do you guys want added to a new Mario Baseball game if we ever get one?

I don’t get why they haven’t made a new Mario baseball game. It would sell like crazy…arguably the most popular Mario sports game with the soccer series.

Well, I'm sold! I like a lot of the ideas presented here. I think Rosalina and Pauline would be natural choices as new additions like you mentioned. I suspect King Bob-Omb and Chargin' Chuck might be added to the roster due to them being playable in the new Mario Golf, but there is never a guarantee with roster choices in Mario spin-offs. Regardless, Mario Baseball Switch would be an absolute day one purchase for me! It is my personal favorite of the Mario sports series. 😄

Great video! I love the Petey as captain idea, but as a counterpart I feel like King Boo fits well compared to Wiggler as they were a Team in Mario Kart Double Dash. I agree with everything else and hope baseball would be the next mario game they make! We already have Tennis and Golf so I hope this is next.

Now I agree with adding Cranky Kong but it would also make more sense to also add Lanky and Chunky Kong. Chunky being a slow runner, probably one of the slowest on the team, but the hardest hitter on the team for almost guaranteed dingers. And Lanky, not a great hitter, an ok pitcher but an amazing fielder due to his extendable arms.

Mario Baseball is sorely overdue for a new entry! The Switch is incredibly popular and it would be the perfect time to bring back the series. Mario Tennis and Golf both have new entries, so Baseball would make for a great addition as well to the Switch's library! Online play is obviously a must and allow some of the rules, stadium hazards, and characters to have some level customization. I'm open to any new characters or stadiums, but I hope they would bring back at least _some_ of the unique characters as well as some of the older stadiums (except for like Peach Ice Garden 😅) ! Also, bring back *Toy Field* from Superstar Baseball! That was so much fun!

I love the ideas but I would add some additional ideas -Your Mii’s as captains -Dark star as captain (maybe) -Create Your own Stadium -Online play for seasons/normal games -Koopalings as added characters The only ideas I kinda thought that should be in the next baseball game

A small thing I'd also like them to add is a sunset time in addition to day and night. Or even a way for time to pass as the game goes on.

For wario's team, I'd like to see some land and ware love. So like for instance 2 from each series, Captain Syrup, Rudy the Clown, Mona, and Jimmy T would be great options.

I'd love to see Rosalina added. She could be a Tricky Type character by being a switch hitter since she's canonically ambidextrous. Add to the fact that she has the same power stat as DK, she'd be a great batter. I'd also love to see Pauline being a Speed Type character since no other main girl fills that role at the moment. Great video all around!

The cappy item is genius. Just like how in the toy field you are constantly tackling other players, you could do the same on game.

Definitely for Pauline’s team, Cappy, Tiara, and Madame Broode would be perfect inclusions for Pauline’s team. Maybe the T.Rex from Odyssey would be not very likely but still would be a funny meme pick. And for the Delphino inspired stage I think having Cataquacks as an obstacle would be unique.

I love all of these ideas. One that came to mind was maybe have unlockable equipment such as bats, gloves, etc, and that equipment could have different stats to suit your play style. Also I think adding customizable outfits for the captains would be really cool. Great video though! Hope we get the 3rd game to complete the trilogy.

We've gotten Mario Golf and Mario Tennis on the switch so far. I can actually see there being a Mario Baseball game on the switch as well.

They made an actually good Mario sports game on 3DS w baseball but it played realistically in a way. Besides the lack of characters, it was a bit less wacky than Sluggers so less runs and a closer game overall. There were actually more pitch varieties and u could aim ur pitches on the y axis as well so it almost had a 2k baseball type feel. So like a slider and the 2d up, down, left, right (compared to Sluggers 1d left and right) would give the pitcher more control overall. The biggest actual gameplay change imo would easily be improving the sweet spot mechanic or just to ditch it and make hits less RNG and more competitive bc Bowser, K Rool, and Petey smack every meatball out of the park. Everything mentioned in this video would also make a great game along w some good online play would make a great game that could stay relevant for awhile. Have preferred rule sets like Smash so someone wanting a quick three inning game wouldn’t b matched w someone wanting a whole nine innings. It won’t also be nice to be able to tweak number of outs, strikes, balls, ball weight, physics, and all that like Smash or Rocket League as that would make some fun offline play. Another thing in general could be something like 8v8 online w the catcher being a bot since he does nothing in Sluggers. That could also be great offline since Smash can do eight players and have them face bots. This could also b 7v7, 6v6, or whatever w bots playing whatever the players don’t. That along w newcomers outside of Mario like Link, Inkling, Isabelle, or characters totally outside of Nintendo like Master Chief using an Energy Sword as the bat would make a great game if they regularly add characters and maybe another stat like contact, make pitching and throwing separate stats, or jumps/dives could add more diversity to the game even if other characters were DLCs, Nintendo could have a massive game that revives Nintendo sports games after golf and 2020 Olympics happened

Great video! I really do wish this game got more love; but heres some things i'd like to see in my opinion, -I to see King Boo (King Boo's Phantoms) be Petey's counterpart captain seeing as they're duo in double dash -I'd like DK Jungle to be in because that would look amazing on the switch -A bit more emphasis on bad chemistry because it really doesn't seem to affect gameplay as much as good chemistry does -4 Players for exhibition? Like it felt weird how you could only play sidemodes with 4 people, like maybe you could alternate between turns and let them control two fielders closest to the ball (which would make sense for the buddy jumps/throws) or let the batter run while the person next in turn the one who aims the error items.

Never though i would came across a Mario baseball channel! Totaly underated spin off. Btw what are you thoughs on mario sports superstars? I feel Namco could make a new Baseball game on Switch based on that previous title.

One thing I think they should add is more options for buttons when it’s a close play like maybe you have to press a and b or. Press a ten times and whoever does it faster wins the base

The fact that most of the error items stun would probably make the game frustrating.

You forgot the most important new feauture: online play with private matches, ranked matches and all of that. That would be AMAZING

I think that for the story mod for rosalinas and Pauline it should be like Mario galaxy type story mod. You would have to get every character in order to go up from a star to Pauline and Rosalina’s. Mix both world into one. A city based with fun Rosalina features. Also the field for Rosalina’s and Pauline’s should be like wario city based mixed like yoshi at super Mario superstars.

If Toadsworth can play baseball, so can Cranky! He deserves a spot, his absence was kind of glaring with so many of the other Kongs in the game. Also I would LOVE Pauline and Rosalina being added in a new Sluggers. But I'd also like the see Cappy added to the Rosalina/Pauline team. I think he'd be a cute addition

Pink bom-omb as a good guy and Black Bom-omb as the counterpart would be cool.

Maybe instead of star bits as an item for Rosalina it could probably be a warp star from galaxy, wherever it lands if the ball or a fielder where on it would warp them around a small area

Just off the thumbnail Lumas would be a great new colour variant character and Cranky Kong is such an amazing pick I'm shocked he isn't already in Sluggers. For new captains I'd say bring back all of the previous Captains then add Rosalina, then upgrade King Boo and K. Rool to captain status. I know alot of people are going to want Pauline as a captain but she feels better as a regular character, maybe if we really need an Odyssey captain we could get Madame Broode instead?

For new stadiums I was thinking of Bowser Jr Airship field (Kind of shaped like Daisy Cruiser but you’re in the sky and gimmicks could be Rocky Wrench’s and Bullet Bills traversing through the field Toad Dome (Generic domed stadium kind of like the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo Japan) Galaxy Stadium (Stadium with no gravity, it would be home to Rosalina) Garden Field (Baseball stadium with a Garden Theme. (Gimmicks could be Piranha Plants harassing the fielders if they step on a specific part of the field which causes the plants to spring up and cause the fielders to make errors. I also had the idea of a super flower that you could bounce off of to snag deep fly balls to prevent homeruns. Those are some of my ideas for new stadiums and remakes of stadiums for former captain like Bowser Jr

I wish they give each captain their own team, like instead of mario and Luigi or peach and daisy in the same team, they have their own characters like Luigi with ghosts ( they can even put boo and king boo with him too) and e gadd, and daisy with characters from sarasaland. The problem would be birdo or waluigi since they dont have their own game. Bowser jr can have the koopaling or they can divide them, putting half in bowser's team and the other half in bowser jr. Another character that can be in is kind Bob omb

This game should also have backwards compatibility with the GameCube controllers just like the "Smash" (and possibly "Mario Kart") games. I also recommend online multiplayer for the expedition matches, Toy Field, and mini-games.

Egads fielding ability could be he is immune to the ghost error item

General change would be to add a strike zone display For batting, add contact swinging. Super Sluggers already gave the game a Zone Hitting style, so having a strike zone would help less skilled players understand what is or isn't a ball as well as help with their aim. For pitching, add more pitch types and persobalize the pitches for each character (not everyone would have a slider or a 4 seam fastball etc). Also switch the system of pitching to a Classic style where like in older baseball games you aim the pitch. This could also make it so that instead of just aiming the pitch left or right, you can also aim it up and down while the ball is traveling, which makes the system less bland. For fielding, make the fielding stat affect how quickly characters recover from field hazards. Also give players the ability to preload a throw. What I mean by this is let players input the base they want to throw to right before grabbing the ball so they react faster. Flesh out base stealing by giving players ways to have characters take bigger leads off of bases, so its actually possible to do. The biggest issue with things like this is that the game doesn't really have the concept of "errors" and without the AI being able to mess up. Makes it next to impossible to steal bases or get more than infield singles as players never throw poorly to bases or miss catches. I don't expect them to ever add AI errors, but it would be nice. The game just loses some sense of skill expression and depth when everything is so linear and predictable. Also add a seasons mode and obviously an online mode.

So the made a New Mario Strikers Game (the last one sold 2.60 copies) but no Mario baseball (the last one sold 2.32 copies) and while strikers sold more, mario baseball was pretty almost as popular.

The whittles would be good from galaxy. Also asymmetrical fields would be really cool and better reflect real baseball. If we get insanely lucky there could even be create a stadium

Is negative chemistry a thing in Mario super sluggers? Does it affect anything? I've played for years and never seen anything about it. A negative chemistry mechanic would be cool.

Also a good tie in for Luigi Mansion characters, like E Gadd, LM King Boo alt, as well as maybe some LM ghosts and boo alts like bomb boo. Especially as a Captain Duo with Petey keep all the alts, and E gadd should be on Luigi team Everything else is great tho

And for the error items Luigi could have a ghost that attacked ppl and I think king bomb could be a captain

I feel like King Boo would be a better alternate captain than Wiggler as he has been Petey's Partner since Double Dash and could allow for some of the Luigi's Mansion ghost to be used as players, Wiggler would still be a teammate for Petey's team though Maybe they could add Chargin' Chucks as player's to Bowser or Bowser Jr's team as an all-around player too
