Ever since the death of Sarah Palin’s turkey during that pardon fiasco, I have not had a Thanksgiving either. This will be the 15th anniversary of being alone. I went vegan after that and my friends abandoned me. I would help out at a soup line but they serve turkey. People like us really need our own kind of Thanksgiving holiday. It’s so lonely. OYG 🐾

I have a therapy walk-in tub, with changing color lights and all kinds of whirling pumping water. Feels great. Aroma salts make it so soothing. Empties very quickly. Love watching all your videos. ❤

There is a really good reason that Kayaks and Lumber are not allowed in the yard. In our previous city- Easthampton, Mass- a resident has a toilet on the front lawn filled with flowers. If Kayaks and Lumber were allowed, someone will put a toilet or some other outrageous eyesore in their yard.

maybe they should have a not-all-that-neat village where the covenants allow you to keep things in your yard, paint your door purple, etc, and the people just in that area could have toilets with flowers. An area for the non-conformists. @@JERRYANDLINDA

Jerry....apple cranberry pie with dollop of fresh whipped cream!!! Pumpkin pie completely made from scratch. I cook down pumpkin for, cakes & breads. also mincemeat. Goid old country cooking!!!

Things are what you make them to be and even though I lost dear loved ones who I think about regularly I never take a day for granted. In my view my loved ones would want me to turn it up a notch and keep on having fun which I do and when my time comes I will see them but until then I live life to its fullest.

I'm gonna have green bean cassserole TWICE. I love it. It gets a bad rap, because lots of people don't make it right. Canned green beans turn to mush in a casserole. Gotta use fresh or frozen. I make my own mushroom soup from scratch with portabella mushrooms, and the secret ingredient to put in is a tabelspoon of soy sauce! IT really adds something.

Jose and Maria, the villages has to allow 20% of its residents be under 55 however I believe they have you sign something saying you don't plan on having children. And if by some chance you get pregnant, there's always the Village of Middleton 😊

Sean Boxer, if you get a patio villa or a Veranda home, they are fenced in around the back. So what they don't see won't hurt them. You can hang your kayak up there or put a small shed there etc.

Linda... I slice my sweet potatoes lengthwise, and slather a LOT of butter on the cut side, and bake them cut side down. The cut side carmelizes so wodnerful... try it sometime!!

Our grandson, just turning 2, is also obsessed with grandpa, & grandpa is loving every minute of it 😊. I had my regular tub replaced with a walk-in tub. I love it! Mine has different whirlpool selection speeds and aroma therapy. It doesn't take long at all for the water to drain out. You are definitely helping folks with your videos Jerry and entertaining us also! Your show is helpful and entertaining, not just to people who are contemplating living here but to us folks who already live here! When I first saw your show a few years ago, I just knew you two were nice people, with a good sense of humor and were the kind of people that I wanted to be my Friends! I can vouch for Amy Pittman Law Firm! The Pittman Law Office is taking care of my Estate affairs also. The Villages is a very Friendly place! Mark and Andrea my husband and I rented for a month in October. We needed the time to explore. Great you are coming back for extended time. We visited all the squares, did around the outside area and we booked again for October and November. Winter months are $$$.

Pools close 20 minutes after sundown ( dusk). There are a couple that stay open later on the Historic Side. Same with all outside activities closing 20 minutes after dusk. I think if you have a priority tennis pass for the country clubs they have night lighting.

My mother had one of those walk in tubs installed in her bathroom when she moved in with us. The downside of those tubs are that you sit there until the water is drained. You are wet, so it can be cold sitting there waiting. (We had it removed again when she passed and our sons took over the bedrooms in that part of the house).

In my opinion they ( villages management) should allow privacy fencing ( maybe vinyl so it looks nice for many years) not only for storage issues but for safety . People can say that the villages is ultra safe but I hear the news everyday talk about property crimes on the rise even in areas previously thought to be safe

Great show you two. I was thinking about the pregnancy question. What if you had a guy who is of age to live there and has a wife in her late 20's or 30's. It could be possible. Eastport Town Square buildings will be done within a year or so- but it will take years and years to have all the spaces filled with businesses. For me, Eastport is toooo close to the Turnpike and the noise. I live in Fenney- it’s “down south” too but can’t hear the Turnpike traffic plus all the resort style luxury vacation feel with so much nature. I am close to the fun and far away from the noise!! Anywhere you live you will love!!

I would like to suggest that the reply to the viewer who wondered if they could keep a kayak at a Villages home should likely be a qualified yes. It would be no to keeping it in public view. However, the "Patio Villas" and "Veranda Designer Homes" have back yards surrounded by opaque fencing where it could be kept out of view. Also, it is not hard to get a Villages home with a very large "2 1/2" garage that would have space for one.

Jerry I'm usually with you on everything but Pumpkin Pie is great! My wife makes a Pumpkin Whip Pie and it is even better. I usually get people who don't like certain things. My brother doesn't like Pizza! And I don't like Mustard or Mayo. (But I love a deviled egg. Go figure.) But I never met anybody who didn't like Pumpkin Pie. Anyway I hope you get a good fruit pie for Thanksgiving. It's sounds like a full house. Hopefully when we get there, ours will be similar.

A bigger walk in shower that has seats is more practical. Plus invest in rain shower heads and fancy jets. Nothing to drain afterwards. Enjoy your family with a Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m pretty much on Team Jerry for foods desired, except I would skip all pies. Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and corn is enough.

The getting pregnant issue would solve itself, (its not having to move) but with so many neighborhoods better suited to families why would you want to stay?
