Sounds ok with a light touch..curious on a more aggressive finger style attack, but I dig it..will be my next purchase to back up my Kramer era NS..

Taking lessons from Cort's designs there, nice. My Cort C4 Ltd. is in a similar league and performs excellently.

I’ve been interested in one of these. Two questions...#1 is it strictly active or is there also a passive mode? #2 what is the average battery life if only active?

So I bought one of these on American Music Supply and they sent me this same bass but with the pickups reversed. The letter format on the headstock was different, and it did not display the "Spector Legend 4 Standard" name.

I've been wanting a cheaper Spector for some time now. Only problem is the lack of distributors and their small sortiment. I want one with a quilted maple top in an amber burst with black hardware. There is a 5 string version but i want a 4 string one. I'm justing hoping they get to terms and expand their distrubtion aswell as more cheaper alternatives.

Shallow as it is I'd buy this tomorrow if it didn't have dot markers. Just not a Specter with dots

so the NS-2J/A with the dots isn't a Spector? how about the original NS-1 with dots...I suppose that's not a Spector either.

@@purplekat7445 The original NS-1 was the start of a brand design pardign that is now strongly associated with crown fingerboard makers. If I were to buy a Spector and would dearly like to, I would like to have crown makers. NS-2 is still a possible buy but crown's would make it a definite. This is a design decision probobly made in part to differentiate the lower end Spector's for the higher end models. I love Spector basses and was stating my opinion, taste.

@@anthonyseye i have 4 Spectors...3 with dots..one with crowns... they are all very much Spectors...crowns are just bling...it's about the design of the bass that makes them iconic

I've notices the split p pickups on the spector legend 4 standard are reverses on the one I'm buying from sweetwater. That must be very new
