# Professor Molly Bishop Shadel Preparing for Class: Reading and Briefing 2023.8.30 ⚠️⚠️Socratic method: Read cases, rather than just read statutes Think like a lawyer: 1️⃣Keep up with the reading, to create your creative vision. 2️⃣⚠️⚠️Take notes on your course book: Who sued whom and why? Procedural posture? * Binding Issues of precedent(following the decisions that have been handed down in the past): The judges have to apply the law, so it would be predictable. 3️⃣Case Brief on your course book Practice sounds like professional: Take a deep breath, focus on the question the professor asked, and answer.
