Hello Pumpkin People! Today we are doing a little #falldecor prep! I am taking you out into the garden to tend to the pumpkins and fall flowers, then we will refinish some pumpkins. I'd seal the pumpkins with a matte sealer, then use some Waverly Antique wax in all the grooves and crevices. Wipe back the extra by blotting. Let it dry. Then add some DIY white wax here and there, blot back the extra. The white wax will give that kind of subtle, hazy quality you see in green and white pumpkins. But definitely go with a matte finish. Love the floral arrangement!

@@harvestandholly just remember that waxes are the last layer, the final top coat. Can't seal or paint over wax because it won't stick.

I love all the arrangements. The florals are beautiful as are the vases. You can use a matte spray after you add your dimension. Love the pumpkin colors. 😍

I loved the purple stems on their own, but then when you mixed in the grapevine stems at the end, that was gorgeous! Your garden looks beautiful, and I love how soothing your videos are!

I would touch up the pumpkins with highlights and low lights and then seal the paint in with a matte sealer. The floral arangments are beautiful.

So beautiful and has me itching to decorate 😍 I think when you go in and add detail to your pumpkins they won’t look as shiny and they’ll be perfect. Especially when you layer colors on top of one another to give it that more realistic look! Just the first step in the process ☺️

Those are beautiful stems! My favorite is the plum colored leaves arrangement. But I love them all. Maybe a different colored vase would give a different perspective. You definitely know how to do an arrangement though! 💕💕 I did not know you could grow pumpkins in a pot!!! I'm in awe! Definitely my plans for next year!!!! There is a Matte sealer you can use that comes in a spray paint. I use it in my faux flowers/stems that have too much shine to look “real”

If you added a matte finishing spray from Michael's that should help with the shiny pumpkins! Should be in the spray paint isle

Hi! Cass from Cass and Home mentioned you were doing a video on Alfloral and I had to come and watch! So I subscribed! Thanks for a discount code....I love Alfloral and use them often. They probably have the most realistic stems I have used in decorating. I missed out on the plum stem last year and I am doing a lot of decorating this Fall with that deep plum/magenta, creams and muted greens and browns so I had to go on and grab some of those! You could use a matte sealant spray so its not so shiny. Also, If you cant find the right spray colour you should try hand painting them.

I would try different color acrylic paints from Walmart craft section, they might be less shiny.

I sent them an email and I will update you. As of now, When I add a vase to the cart, it works on everything and takes the percentage off of the stems too. Without a vase, it doesn't seem to be working on the stems.

Those faux pumpkins are so good!! Are they all from homegoods? I noticed your pumpkins were growing in a container, what do you do with the vines? Just let them drape? Last year mine took over my yard!

Thank you! The pink one was from homegoods, the other ones were from wayfair. I can send you links if youd like! The variety of pumpkin I picked does not vine much, its whats called a "bush variety" so it stays rather small and compact!
