If Christ's work on the cross is not strong enough to hold me and my salvation, then nothing matters and I'm staying in tomorrow. But he is enough, his work on the cross covers all, and I thank God for his blood shed for me and his power to hold our salvation!

I got saved in a Pentecostal church (Arminian), but I knew as a newborn believer that I was going to fall away because I knew that I was fickle. Having come to this conclusion, the most important prayers I prayed was Lord Jesus, I cannot keep my self saved so I relinquish all rights to free will and ask you to do what ever You need to do to keep me saved. May your will keep me as I surrender my will to yours. Amen. I'm now Reformed Baptist. That simple prayer changed my life....😊

I love this Truth this man is preaching. You can’t ever lose your salvation that was gifted freely to us by the the shed 🩸of Jesus Christ. There is one quick observation I heard him say which is probably a slip of words. He said for John 3:16 the verse says you shall not perish. Actually, it says you should not perish which should and shall have different meanings.

I’m glad, but not surprised to hear at (14:00 marker point in video) Dr. Lawson explain and expand on the term “belief” as it pertains to “belief in Christ.” It’s too easy and far to human to have a misconception or diminished comprehension of what the Biblical text is really saying and meaning in terms of belief in Christ our Lord. Notice it’s “belief IN not OF Christ. Please take it from me not as some “more enlightened Biblical scholar” but as one who after spending my better years in the Christian “faith” in a Christian home where I was blessed to be raised by a mother and father who truly loved and walked with the Lord in daily action (sign of a reformed heart which faith is just that…. Belief in action) I ran as far as I could from the Lord in my late teens and early 20’s. Having a visceral rebellion against my Christian upbringing and the Word of God itself, I’d arrogantly and with much ignorance point out what I saw as distinct & obvious contradictions in the Bible. Verses such as “It’s by Grace you’ve been saved not by works so no man may boast” Ephesians 2:8-9 (V.S.) Faith without works is dead”James 2:14 Even with the Biblical knowledge and years spent reading it, what I had failed to realize at the time was I HAD FAILED TO REALIZE for all that time. I knew the text of the word of God, but had no fundamental understanding or comprehension of its truth so it was a spiritual foreign language to my heart & soul. Those two verses I deemed contradictions were in fact corroborations and vital truths from the Almighty Lord proclaimed to us and in our fallen, human “sin” nature might have our eyes opened to one very important and under-preached truth. Salvation is a gift by grace alone but like any valuable, let-alone priceless gift…You have to sign for it. It’s not saying that works is your salvation and brings you any closer to the presence of the Lord, but IT IS evidence of your walk with him. I came to a renewed faith in and walk with Christ now almost 10 years ago. RC, Sproul and John MacArthur were two vital instruments and men of sincere faith the Lord used to open my eyes through their gift of preaching and unapologetic devotion to the Biblical text. And yes, trust me it’s a walk with Christ it’s not a single destination while here remaining in our sinful world. I thought of myself it wasn’t about the works themself but the context. There’s a difference between stumbling in sin and walking in it. Not to say that if you find yourself stuck in a pattern of repetitive sin after what you perceived as a profession of faith in Christ and repentance that you’re somehow now lost. But I assure you, it won’t be long until you will feel what your once Christ-less heart & soul never did before and that my friend is CONVICTION. Not talking pure guilt alone…I mean we’re all guilty in sin whether we believe it, or not. But I’m speaking, mostly of the disconnect and displacement of your spiritual self & heart because for once you have the King of Kings residing with and in you and you CANNOT serve two masters. Oil and water do not mix where there’s light there cannot be darkness. Christ cannot and will not dwell in your heart while you live for the devil. Our works are example of our faith, evidence of it not the provider. But Jesus says if you love me, you will obey my Commandments. John 14:15 & You will know a tree by the fruit bears. Matthew 7:15. Both RC Spraul and John MacArthur both have excellent sermons regarding this important matter. KZfaq “Saved or Self-Deceived” by John MacArthur and “False Assurance” by R.C. Sproul. In closing as Im aware my comment probably took up half this page, I don’t want to be misunderstood as suggesting everyone needs to doubt their salvation, or give Satan a foothold to doubt the Lord’s promise of it. It’s not about questioning the Lord’s loyalty and Truth. It’s about questioning your own loyalty to The Truth and re-examining the sincerity of your walk with the Lord and having a sound Biblical assurance backing the evidence of it. Just remember, Jesus does say wide is the path to eternal destruction and narrow is the way to eternal life and very few find it. Satan wants nothing more than to deceive people into seeing & using Christ and the gift of Salvation through the Cross as some get out of jail card or eternal life insurance. But don’t take it from me heed the warning from Christ himself.- Matthew 7:21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. For Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out demons? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you lawless, workers of iniquity.

Believe in Jesus and follow his teaching of two greatest commandment: love God and love thy neighbour can tune our souls in harmony with God and heaven. Our souls are spirit from heaven initially given by God the Creator to our earthly body. By accepting and following Jesus, we gain salvation and eternal life for our souls!

Obviously not. A person can't lose something that God Himself decided to give that individual. Salvation is based 100% on the grace of God.

The salvation of the chosen (elected) is as sure as our existence right now. Hence the term DEFINITE Atonement Steven chooses to use (instead of the potentially arguable "limited atonement") Salvation cannot be lost as in the way Jesus cannot cancel His ransom works at the cross.

It would make no sense if God chose something but his chosen one did not make it to the end. Then election would no longer be election! •Philippians 1:6: "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:"

Fear in losing your salvation is sin. So, if you could lose it, you would because of that sin. Very sad to have that fear.😢

I would ask : Why was the letter written to the Galatian church? What is Paul saying in Chapter 1:6? The believers accepted the deception of reverting back to Judaism. And Jesus warned of deception of His disciples. metatithēmi. This a verb which implies action taken, although it is a verb there is no indication who is taking the action. But non-the-less there is action. Further description: to transpose (two things, one of which is put in place of the other) to transfer to change to transfer one's self or suffer one's self to be transferred to go or pass over to fall away or desert from one person or thing to another

Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid.

Romans 8:10-11 (KJV): 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

We can no more lose our salvation than we can grive our life to Christ. God is osvereign not our decision.

Losing what you did nothing to earn is ridiculous. Salvation was given to us thru the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who secured us forever in his Grace! Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved and your house. Jesus said whoever believes in me will NEVER perish. Saying you can lose salvation is saying the sacrifice is invalid.

Once save always save is the doctrine of the devil because it does not result in repentance. Once we accept Christ through faith then repentance from our sins follows and there is only true repentance if we stop in doing habitual sins.
