Soo basically get clear on what your needs are and communicate them instead of expecting them ?I would add another step is to first provide yourself with that things you are wanting from others.. Especially if it's about old emotional pain ! Then you are more able to ask instead of demand from other people the same thing..We need to take responsibility for our emotions because you can't receive from others what you can't even give to yourself i think !

tell me about it, love without expectations is beautiful. falling in love with an individual who has a form of autism and who does not see social expectations, as most of us obligate to social expectations subconsciously because we were trained to do that to be accepted by society. wanting to be in a relationship with someone who does not see this type of "social world" of what a relationship is (even friendship) in regards to the construct of human nature. Now I see love and friendship when there is no outline or construct or expectations and it has expanded my mind in so many ways. letting go of all expectations in all relationships has made my love free and pure and I am able to love in the strongest way possible. no expectations: communication.

The only reason, realistically, that we should be going into a relationship is to give love. It is unfair and selfish that we expect love in return. In a more pure state, we won't NEED love from another person any longer. We would have developed enough self love for ourselves. We can also receive love from Source. We often project our own emotional injuries and emotional addictions from childhood onto others, especially our romantic partners. Yes, if someone treats us unlovingly, we should express that, but that's different. We shouldn't be getting others to fulfil a void within us, which are all our expectations. As we develop more in love, we will feel how sleezy and unfair it feels to project that others should do things for us. Expectations are essentially about controlling another person.

In an ideal world where we all had no emotional injuries from childhood, and we were all in a pure state (which was the plan anyway) we would all be showing perfected love to one another, but realistically, most of us are not in that perfect state, so it is selfish of me to expect unconditional love in the type of world we live in. We all need to heal first, then we can perfect our love to each other. It's wonderful to be loved by your partner, but it is a harsh expectation, because hardly anyone is in that condition of perfected love. And yes, it is possible to become the perfect man. It all depends on how many emotional injuries we decide to clear out of the soul. So yes, it's unrealistic. Pure love doesn't expect love, it just gives. It's hard teaching this to people because we've been falsely taught that love should be expected back in return. Unconditional love has not one expectation.

TRIGGERED! hahahah white american girl falls in love with taiwanese guy. literally the way people communicate, not only the things people communicate about, is different in these two cultures. it was excruciating but forced me to really look at myself. This is so true and relatable! and what i want to add to this is that you might to all this'meditate on your expactations and deepest dreams and desires, sort them, discuss them openly with your partner in the deepest desire to meet somewere in the middle, and things might still not work. yes, it helps, but not all the time. if you two are completly different people, with very different mentality, education, values it is very possible that this will not lead to succes in the relationship, despite the openess of the partners and the genuine desire of making things work...and this is ok.in this cases it is ok to leave the relationship without any further regret!

Naturally most women feel loved and therefore secure, when men provide and do for them on a continual, though spontaneous basis, it makes them feel secure that they are the centre of loving attention in a man's heart, so mind. The need for loving attention from the woman is communicated mainly on a feeling level, not so much directly because how the man responds to this is a test, so measure of how much love the man has for them. The mans test of a womens loving attention is by how much she makes him feel strong and capable and the regularity she truthfully comunicates this to him. The feedback boosts his confidence in his strength and capabilities to support her.

Elijah Weaver I wonder about 'soul mates' as human evolution both the healthy continuation of the race and personally is based on assimilating different traits so when there isn't some friction occurring wouldn't expect much growth in evolution. To have a 'mate' that is totally agreeable with you and hasn't these differences to be assimilated could lead to boredom maybe. Best Wishes Elijah.

I had no expectations in the last person I allowed myself to get involved with I did assume he was on the same path and he went back to his X without sharing that he still had feelings for her…..going forward my expectations were that he wouldn’t lie again and I destroyed myself - now meeting someone new no expectations what happens happens going very slow and not turning my world into him we talk and it’s very nice but we are different from different places however we are open if one wants to know something although I don’t offer anything now only if asked we are kind to one another and let things flow

I’ve been dealing with the fallout of my husbands stealth expectations for years. Still trying to teach him how to simply communicate his expectations to me. Instead he prefers to keep them unknown and then feels the right to be angry with me when I don’t meet these hidden expectations. Perhaps he subconsciously enjoys making himself a martyr when all he needed to do was say something to begin with and I would’ve gladly obliged.

Yet again Teal, synchronicity takes its course. I'm going on a date tomorrow with someone for the first time, and it'll be my first legit date ever (lame I know) so I've kind of been romanticizing and dreaming about how I expect the guy to behave and I've honestly been so nervous to my stomach because I don't know what to expect. I really hope that I dont scare him away or anything or that I'm turned off because of what I expect from him. This video came to me at the perfect moment honestly. I'm definitely going to take this with me for the future.

So on point Teal! I noticed your speaking faster than usual in this video. Guess that's how quick great thoughts collect. I wonder if you can do a video regarding how to communicate effectively with older generations ? In particular, Parents & grandparents in regards to "new age " ideology ? Being that they have their way of thinking so deeply engrained with respect to what they were faced with while growing up. Teal, what can I do if I am a person who understand and believe the law of attraction and the vibration and energy theory and you choose to stay positive but someone very close to you, say your parents, are very narrow-minded people and don't believe in these and all they do is worry for you and don't believe you will suceed or fear you will fail? Do their negative thoughts lower my vibration? (even if I don't live with them and don't have to communicate with them) What can I do to not reduce that kind of damage?

I have a big question about self love/self hate. I think a lot of people would be in the same boat as this. Now I would consider myself someone who does love themselves, I value my emotions, look after my body, eat the best foods I could give myself, but somehow I realise that other people's reactions of me mean a lot. To the point where they overcome my own thoughts and lower my self-esteem, here is the question, How do I value my love for my self more than others?

What do we do if the other person thinks our expectations are dumb? For example I let them know that I want to be able to trust them when they say they will do something... They didn't follow through and when I adress that they stonewall by saying "are you being difficult again?" Is that incompatibility? And does that mean that I do not accept people as they are?

Next time they ask you this, counter by saying..."Is it too much to ask?....for you to be trustworthy?" Always start with "Is it too much to ask?" If they say, "yes" then they don't care enough about you to make changes to make you happy.

Teal, I am new to out-of body experiences,and I know you've talked about that stuff and know about it, so I wanted to ask you about this. Is there anything that could attempt to possess a body that has it's occupant in an out-of-body experience? Demons, maybe? If they could or would, what would they do while in control of your body?

This is the mother problem in terms of how it affects all peoples lives. In a restless world like this is, love has truly ended before it has begun. Apathy reigns when economies recede and the resultant financial depression forces the individual to seek tools within their psyche to cope with the altered state of emotion which sometimes can be very hard to hide, the pent up emotions that two both feel. You wanna tell the world you love the other but you dare not say it, so everytime you meet upon the street you have to play the scene, like sisters and brothers who wave to each other and you dont want all the world to know that you are really lovers so you talk about the weather till your alone together then all the world will fade and die until their is only you and I. I being your subconscious mind. Geez Teal I am so glad that you are around. Only the best can be trusted with the task of taking up the good news to our fellow humans and the universe has provided you for it.To me you are like what Donald Trump can be to the world, a real friend to the soul of the human who likes helping people out of emotional traps they have been caught in which one could seriously debate has happened to our American cousins and to a lesser extent us here in Australia. You both deliver the message en pointe, straight up, in your face, deal with it and get over it. I have been fortunate to have been a disciple of Florence Scovell Shinn and her completion thesis entitled "The game of life and how to play it" and a listener of Joyce Meyer the jewish lady turned christian after she went through a horrid rape. I love her so! And now I am following your stuff. What you do is cool and your spunky as. Period Keep up the cool work Teal. I love the the social events you organise. I wish I was young again. I am in my early fifties and things slow down rather seriously at that stage and I am even starting to smell the roses. I do grow other interesting plants and they are of great use in these older of days.

Expectation are not High/Low, For Boy or Girl, Those Love having expectation is not Love, Love with expectation generates complication. Expectation is only healthy if *trust* sitting in first chair. Love needs trust while Expectations makes life rust.

i expected honesty.. i got upset when he lied constantly and promised he would stop and flaked and broke promises.. but then when i did believe him like he begged me to and then i find out he lied again ..and he mocked me for believing him cause ...according to him he lied all the time so.why would i be dumb enough to believe him..after he promised me he really was telling the truth

Teal would you kindly explain to me why it is that EVERYTHING goes wrong no matter what I do.. I was born xxy... it has always felt as though I am not part of the great design but rather a mistake because nothing ever works out for me.. ever! if I think positive negative happens, if I think negative good things happen but never last... I feel like I'm left out because no matter how hard I try I just can't seem to fix it... other than a rope do you have any suggestions?
