This video, converted from my old VHS camcorder footage, was filmed aboard P&O European Ferries Portsmouth to Cherbourg vessel Pride of Hampshire less than three weeks prior to her withdrawal.
Passenger facilities are located on four decks:
Deck 7 offered cabins, bureau de change and reclining seats.
Deck 8 offered a bar, casino, children's playroom, shop and dining areas.
Deck 9 offered exterior decks and a Club Class Lounge
Deck 10 offered an exterior deck, cinema and lounge
Pride of Hampshire entered service in 1975 for Townsend Thoresen for their Southampton UK to Le Havre France route before being relocated to Portsmouth.
In 1987 she was registered under P&O European Ferries and renamed Pride of Hampshire operating to the same French port until 1994 when she operated too Cherbourg, France.
She remained on the route until 2002 before being sold to Comanav Morocco as Pride of Al Salam 2 to operate between , Sete and Nador.
She was renamed Oujda in 2002 and in 2006 she operated services from Safaga Egypt.
In February 2010 she was sold to Indian breakers
