Ай бұрынIn this latest VHS tape to digital, the third in my series, A2B via Sea is taking you back to 2005 for a look around tour of the TransEuropa Ferries vessel Larkspur, formerly EuroTraveller, Sally Sky, Viking 2 and Gedser of 1976.
From 1986 she was based at the Port of Ramsgate in the county of Kent, United Kingdom and operated too Dunkerque in France for Sally Line / Sally Ferries and, from 1997, to the Belgian port of Ostend for Sally Direct and then TransEuropa Ferries
In 2014 she sailed south to be renamed Lucky Star to operate between Igoumenitsa to Brindisi. Sadly, and not so 'lucky' she was beached for scrapping in 2016.

The former Sally Sky that also used to operate from Ramsgate back in the days of the Sally Line, but it then sailed to Dunkerque with them.

Used to use the Sally line to Dunkirk, mainly for their Smorgasbord. Shame that no ferries operated from Ramsgate now, would take some of the load from Dover, even if it was just freight. The A16 in France is easily accessible as it is in Calais.
