Wow, that looked a whole lot more posh than crossing the ditch in 70s and 80s on the Earl Granville. I must do it again sometime, the slower speed of the night ferries meant twice the magic for me.

Irish ferries has acquired Spirit Of Britain and she will enter service in June

I think they need a new uniform for the crew. I think the Britain looks a bit more interesting than the Fusion class, better variety of colours. A mate of mine went in the Liberté and Pioneer last weekend. He was fairly complimentary about them - usually he always complains. However I think he had the Club Lounge, which is better upon the Fusion than Spirit class. I told him about theITV programme and crew working 12 hour days for 4 months with no time ashore,but he didn’t care - selfish scab. He would be lucky to last 2 12 hour shifts. I can only imagine that the Britain is only destined for another operator on the Dover Calais route.
