To all the people commenting disrespectful things: If you see a queer person(on the street, on social media, etc) and decide you don’t like it for whatever bs reason, just ignore it 🙂 Ignore it, just like you do when you see a homeless person sleeping on the sidewalk. Pretend you never saw it. Ignore it, just like you do with climate change, war, conflict, and any other time you might have seen something you knew was a problem, but decided to avoid it. Clearly, if you can walk past a homeless person on the street without saying anything or doing anything about it, you should also be able to walk past a gay couple and mind your own fucking business. 🤦‍♂️

I’ve always been a “You do you” person. Someone’s sexuality really shouldn’t matter that much. I’m aromantic/asexual, so is everyone here going to come after me because I’m not interested in dating or getting married? Is it so abnormal for a young woman like myself to not be attracted to any gender? I don’t want kids, I don’t want to get married, I don’t want to date. My goals and aspirations are my first priority as soon as I get to college. Please, everyone, be respectful of the LGBTQ+ community. It doesn’t matter what religion you are, whether you’re atheist, or Christian like me, or any other religion, just please be respectful of LGBTQ+ people. It isn’t a sin to be gay, or trans, or bisexual, or anything LGBTQ+ related. If all you Christians really are Christian, you know that God loves everybody, no matter your sexuality. Please be respectful of everyone, LGBTQ+ or not.

Oh my gods, this made me think of the history teacher I had, during my freshman year of high school. First off it was his last year teaching, and he was a huge cheap, I mean staring at girls in their sports uniforms, tugging at their shorts/skirts saying " you gotta pull those down a bit, I think they might be TOO short." He decided to bring up the discussion of abortion, to the class and asked us if we thought it should be legal, now in my mind men have 0 right to include themselves in that discussion. It deals with uterus owners bodies, and I brought up all the reasons we actually need them, in example ectopic pregnancy and how harmful it can be for the uterus haver. Everything i said, aswell as most of the girls in that class, was drowned out by the boys saying things like " but all women want kids eventually.", or " abortion is the work of sqtan." We were fighting to be heard, and he didn't care at all, no " hold on let them say their part", he didn't even try to calm the class down at all. I wound up have to leave the class early, because of how bad it got, and just cried in the bathroom till my next class started. It just really makes me sad, that we are still fighting to have these basic rights, to just be seen and heard.

Ok, this is absolutely horrible! I’m a young Catholic middle schooler who goes to a Catholic school, and we once had a discussion about LGBTQ+ in social studies. My teacher (who is also Catholic) very clearly stated when asked about her views that “I don’t have a strong opinion either way, but the Bible tells us to love each other no matter what.” I think this is a perfect explanation of how to treat LGBTQ+ people and everyone. No matter your views, respect others and their opinions and never tear people down.

Telling a class of students(no matter how old they are) that they are servants of Satan is already absolutely cruel. That teacher better have gotten fired.
