Your comment changed my day ! I worked as a doctor in another field for 3 years and now I’ll be going to work in the emergency section. My self confidence got so low that I had to repeat stuff again from med school , I thought something was wrong with me and I felt ashamed . Now I see this comment and I realised that this is how it works .

Wow. This was actually VERY informative as I’m about to get tested for Addison’s disease next week. It’s crazy because I was in the ER with acidosis at one point and a few months later I had low blood sugar issues 😳 now I’m dealing with low blood pressure, low potassium and orthostatic intolerance.

Great video, was diagnosed in 2019 just before covid (thankfully), with adrenal insufficiency. for 2 years they blamed weed(CVS) cyclic vomiting syndrome. my sodium hit levels of 110 risking brain damage. Lowest i got was 104 and i felt close to death. Felt like my innards were rotting. All it took was one blood test to find missing enzymes in my blood. I've had a few near death experiences from bleeding out, overdoses and adrenal insufficiency. but this was the worst, so much suffering for me and my family. Finally healthy at 5'9" 188 lbs and on hydrocortisone and fludrocortisone. Thanks very much for this scientific and well made video on Addison's

Addison’s since i was 17, that almost killed me (1996). Here are some tips that after 25 years can help. I am also a Type 1 diabetic since 2008. I am 43 now… 1. Salt. Don’t be afraid of it. Pickles, kimchi, sauerkraut, chips and salsa i know i know you all love it. It’s salty AF! Your body doesn’t process salt like normal people. Enjoy it and when you feel faint or light headed you are low on sodium. 2. Don’t over due water. I know you hear how much water you need but it’s bullshit. Drink when you’re thirsty, our ancestors for thousands of years didn’t sit around drink 20 gallons of water a day. The more water you drink the more you flush salt out of your system. Deadly, be careful. 3. Stress, don’t be afraid to take extra hydrocortisone when you’re sick or stressed. No need to overdue it but an extra pill here and there is a life saver. 4. Sleep, you have a rare disease that cause fatigue like a mother f’er. Get your sleep preferably 8 hours and when you need it trust me your body will tell you. Do not take your hydrocortisone too late in the day or it will keep you awake. 5. Eat clean! Do not put garbage in your body, it will affect your Addison’s. I find a paleo diet works amazing for me but I’m also a type 1 diabetic. Trial and error, do you. Stay away from junk food. There is lots more but this is the important stuff. Good luck.

@@K.Stroh_ My new dr thinks I have addison's, but he is digging DEEPER into it now. It has been a long journey of misdiagnosing and prescribing the wrong treatments from different doctors. His suspicion came after seeing my vitiligo and hyperpigmented skin along with my symptoms that started in 2015. He doesn't think addison's was the culprit. My labs had shown hypothyroidism in 2015, 2016, 2017 and nothing was ever mentioned about it. I was prescribed statins back then which cause kidney failure. I've heen studying up on hypothyroidism and addison's and now see why my new doctor is digging deep. He had asked if I was diabetic and if it ran in the family. I am not "yet" but since my pancreas is inflammed and my pancreatic enzymes are messed up, I suspect it is coming. I just went gluten free and started taking enzymes, hoping to cut this off before it gets too far gone.

these videos can give you enough mental picture of the topic and you can recall easily and swiftly during the tests as compared lectures with rich text slides. Great job. plus you can watch them over and over again as opposed to revisions from big filthy books which is tedious dull and boring
