I miss players like Ozil in modern football. Of course there's always a few but most players today look like programmed soldiers while players like Ozil used to look FREE on the pitch. The quality of passes, ball control, vision and intelligence is different class. We need to let creative players work their magic, because they naturally see solutions on the pitch in real time that even the manager wouldn't think about. If we stop allowing creativity to shine, just shut down the sport altogether. Might as well watch chess then.

I never understood why ozil at arsenal was different to ozil at real Madrid, he was slower less skillful and played more simpler at arsenal whereas at madrid he was so exciting and always pulled the rabbit out the hat, was still mostly great at arsenal but smth wasn’t the same

You can clearly see that Ronaldo had to learn a much better positioning due to Ozil. He understood that with such great vision of a player you have to always show up on the radar. Ozil kinda made Ronaldo what he became. Withouit Ozil we wouldn't have met this version of Ronaldo.
