Awesome to see more people getting these under their feet! As one of the smallest brands in the space, these reviews mean the world to us. So, thank you!

I ride a Prism Theory V2 for downhill freeride and if I could custom-design my own deck, the Theory V2 would be it and everyone else I know who rides one, feels the same way and just as I'm in the market for an LDP deck, it's Liam Morgan to the rescue once again. I also ride Caliber 3 trucks for the plug barrel bushings and Blood Orange wheels because they have a very predictable slide once you're at speed and the 82As grip when I need them to. I'm glad I held off on getting my LDP deck until this Tropicalia came out from Prism. Thanks for being so quick on the review and keep up the good work. 🤙

Curious if it really fits 125/135mm caliber precisions as a Drop-trough board... it would be an industry first 😅

Thanks for the commentary and video! I wasn't familiar with this brand until now (although I've heard of Caliber trucks). Thanks for putting it on my radar. How does this deck compare to, say, the Pantheon Pranayama/Trip (perhaps more so the trip considering the trucks) or other boards that seem similar? All the best!
@skate-further
@skate-further Ай бұрын
Hey Rob, thats an interesting question. My experience with the Trip is very minimal, so I cant say too much. The trip is a little more refined with the trucks fitting the deck as a complete. I would say the same for the shape and design. But it's a double drop deck, there is not much that can go wrong with either of them. The Prana is IMO in a league of it's own!

Very good price for carbon reinforced deck. About cosmetic issues - all Bossa decks (ca. 260 Euros) I've seen has the same bubbles, fingerprints, and even dead mosquitoes on the roadside laquer finish 😀 What is the distance between a pavement and roadside side of this deck with Caguamas? How much did you pay for custom clearence?

Hey Eugen, this only looks liike carbon. Its fiberglass with black resin! The ride height is 7cms, if that is what you mean! Customs were about 25€.

Hey there, appreciate your support and love for Prism. We’ve been making ~half of our high performance decks in China for over 5 years now. The quality we’ve been able to achieve in China far surpasses what we can do in the USA.. and at a better price. Most core brands in the industry produce in China and have for some time now.

You really need to stop calling these short videos a "review". It's more of an introduction to a product with nowhere near the detail a proper review has. Nothing about turning radius, pump or carving ability, flex, etc., etc. Tons of stuff people are interested in that's not present. Just sayin'. Still appreciate your *intro* vids, even if they lack detail...
@skate-further
@skate-further Ай бұрын
He thanks for your comment, I can agree on these beeing short. Ill do follow up videos on older reviews, these might be more to your liking,but there are things I don't understand. You want information about things that really sont make much sense. for example turning Radius. You can go ahead to nelson longboards and calculate the turning radius on this specific Board. But what do you gain from it? Your weight, stance, technique, trucks and Bushings will influence that. Also it's a dropped board. so you cannot compare it to a top mount anyways. Also you can carve and pump any board. This is more a rider skill topic instead of a biard topic. It will do this things accordingly. Maybe I misunderstand you, but can you give me concrete examples, on how to improve on those? It might help me to improve my videos! Thanks in advance!

Servus Michael, I love your output. You really bring a lot of useful information into the scene with a good mix of introducing your gear and interviewing craftspeople. I genuinely enjoy every content and post you contribute on quite the regular basis right now. Also a great range of products from very popular brands to great niche products from lesser known companies.
@bbaker6212
@bbaker6212 Ай бұрын
@@skate-further Well you are the one doing the testing so the weight of the rider is your weight which doesn't change. And you know what is a tight-turning setup and what is not (relatively speaking) based on different boards that you have tested/ridden. I have seen other reviewers comment on stuff like this... they try to pump up a slight incline (the same road every time they review something) or make a U-turn at the same place, same road, with every board they REVIEW. Those are just two examples of metrics people are interested in. I don't think it's difficult to understand and it does make sense from viewers' perspective. Here is an example of a very detailed review. Now I'm not saying you need to go THIS far... but your viewers might like something in between? or yeah maybe more detailed in follow-up videos: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/np2ooNmExs7Wn3k.html

@@bbaker6212 Does anybody who is keen on longboarding really care about turning radius 😉? It depends on many factors, you know: bushing shape, bushing durometer, baseplate angle, wind speed, rider's skills, and frame of mind 😃. The same thing regarding the flex of the deck - somebody says "I'm 68 kilo, that's OK for me," somebody doesn't. All these reviews are very subjective.

@@bbaker6212 Yeah LDP Taiwan really is a very good channel in detailed descriptions! But I see what you mean. I had a flex test like this. But somehow my footage got corrupted! Will add it next time. And with turning I see what you mean. So footage from a longer distance away on more road liek Settings would help! Thanks for the detailed response. I think this would increase my videos informational value! The only issue I see is that viewer retention drop immensly with longer videos. People just like it short :D But I will test more! IAppreciate your feedback!
