I pride myself on being thoughtful of others, I hold doors open for people I help elderly people with the groceries if I see them at the supermarket and I don't do it for any other reason but for myself. It makes me feel good inside I use to be very violent growing in the projects of Newark New Jersey brick city, in the early 70s and I was very negative growing up in that environment. But when my father got his shit together and we moved to the Jersey shore I seen a whole different life it took me years to get away from the violence that I carried with me and the negativity. But the one thing I always done my whole life was held a door for someone behind me I'm 54 now and I have a good life in SWFL it's a slower life but I like that way. I really appreciate the positivity you put out there with your videos and I wish you nothing but the best, you seem like a good person at heart God bless.💪🏻

Reading positive mostly A.A. literature daily. Being polite to Everyone. And most importantly not drinking one day at a time.

No matter who I listen to, or what videos I watch, whether it is related to academia, finances, relationships, health,etc., I come to realize that the common denominator is the word ACTION. I watch many self help videos and motivational speeches by many of men, the best of them really, and Action is always being drilled. Because it IS the Only way that we (I) can make a true change. Problem is many of us (and I am speaking for myself here) are scared of change. That brings another big word into play. FEAR! Wes just got done talking about that too as a matter of fact. Fear. Fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of CHANGE. Now only if I can embrace change in a positive light and put Action into play, I should be golden. Let's not forget that shit aint gonna happen overnight though. First we have to accept the fact that some of us need change. That brings honesty into play. Once we have accepted that then we can put a plan together and start to execute. Be honest with yourself. Accept all the good and the bad. They go together. Its what makes you, YOU. Dont beat yourself up too much about all the What If's and Why me's. Keep pushin forward. Put a plan together that is feasable and realistic. Put that shit on paper if you have to. That is what I do. I just got out the county and I’m about to lose my good job at the hospital because of the baby bid I just did. Listening to Wes talk about focusing on problems and trying to fix them in a negative mindset couldn’t be more accurate for myself. I’m currently trying to figure out what I’m gonna do after they call me into HR and fire me, I gotta go see my parole officer on Monday and I fucked up and got High last night cuz I was depressed and trying to figure out how to solve my problems, that shit just turned into me trying to find out how to forget my problems and ended with me sniffing some percocets.... now I’m fucked from trying to fix my problems whilst in that negative mindset. This is something I needed to hear today, I wish I would of heard it last night.
