I absolutely LOVE that the story about freezing at a fight came RIGHT before the story about seeing a dude flog his dolphin. He wasn’t willing to do anything about the fight between the two inmates but HOT DAMN one look at another dude smacking it and he said KNOCK IT OFF OR IM GONNA PEOPER SPRAY YOU. Hahahah I couldn’t stop laughing when I compared the two instances

For the Record Ian: A DWI/DUI is a Misdemeanor First Offence in every state. A misdemeanor does not preclude you from becoming a Correctional Officer. He obviously didn't have the right personality to be a Correctional Officer.Thank God he didn't get anothr Officer killed or seriously injured. I'm happy he turned the negative into a positive. I wish him the best 🙏

It's pretty rough retaining correctional staff. Out of every 10 only about 2 will make it a year. It doesn't make you a bad person. Working in a prison is hard on a person and even harder on a family.

Personally, i upgraded to YT premium and I've never looked back! You don't have to sit through ads anymore plus you get YT music which is waaaaay better than pandora! For 11.99 a month, worth every penny. I know people gripe about how the channel you're watching is losing out on ad revenue but look at how many "sponsors" these channels receive.

How many people do you recall ever aspiring to be a C/O? I've done the job myself. It"s a tough job, and not for everyone. I got out for many of the same reasons as Damon, just not the job for me. I have alot of respect for the C/Os that approach the job as a professional. Some do , most don't. It would be interesting to watch an interview with a professional C/O. Not all C/Os are corrupt.

Bad decision to be a CO unless you were ready when they told you that they would get rid of you and keep getting rid of guards until they got one that would help they were basically telling you that you were on the list. Glad you got out of there unharmed physically but I know you still probably suffer in reparable psychological damage. I still do have PTSD real bad from what I seen as a young kid in prison. It’s no fun man. great podcast Brother shout out to the man for his honesty.
