@@saranabil8816 on average, private schools in Australia get only 80c funding for every $1 that public schools get (per student). I know people often argue that they should get nothing but the main problem with defunding private schools is that it means less parents can afford to send their kids there and ultimately taxpayers have to fork out more to support a huge increase in students moving to public schools. I hope we continue to maintain parental choice in schooling so we can appreciate the funny side of private and public schools in videos like this one 😁

As someone who was raised poor and have gone to both, the only accurate part of the private school one is the uniform bit, You would get yelled at if your socks fell down while you were getting from class to class

I went to a public school and I heard at the end of year 12 that they keep every warning you ever got. Some disruptive kid could have maybe 12 warnings in their entire highschool years. I got 35 just from not wearing the school uniform properly 😁

In the private school I briefly went to, I once got a 2 hour detention for wearing the wrong socks to rugby practice. Keep in mind, the school day started at 8:00 am and finished at 5:30 pm, and you aren't allowed to do the 1.5 hours of homework per night in detention either, so detention effectively meant a 12.5 hour work day. At the age of 14.

As a kid who went to private school I can say that it’s the opposite, our school could barely afford things, we had to pay to use some other schools football field until it got too expensive and just made a deal with the closest school that was out of town, we couldn’t afford stuff which was really dumb. The public schools on the other hand could afford most things they wanted

I never realised how fancy my private school is We get uniform detentions for not wearing hats on the way to school Teachers don’t wait at the train station but they do wait at the fast food place near it to tell people to use the overpass instead of crossing the road And on top of that the school fees aren’t that bad but to buy all the pieces of uniform, with like 2 or 3 of each, it goes up to be like $600 (That’s Australian dollars to you American and Canadian folk)

I go to a private school, the uniform policy thing is SO true. A guy in my class had a small piece of hair touching his eyebrow that he could've easily swept back but my biology teacher dress coded him for it. None of my other teachers are that strict tho (most of them don't care that much tbh except administration people)
