In this video, I'm able to interview Geith Gibson, Pro Team Shooter for Utah Airguns & FX Airguns, AND winner of the 2021 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge Pro Class, 100 Yard Benchrest international airgun/air rifle shooting match & competition.
During the interview, Keith takes us end-to-end through his hopped up .30 caliber FX Impact airgun, revealing pro-level airgun & air rifle accuracy secrets all along the way. Keith discusses how to extract the most accuracy out of any airgun (not only his FX Impact) and touches on the airgun performance areas of rifle rigidity, airgun barrel twist rate in the wind, JSB/FX Pellets, airgun/pellet rifle muzzle velocity in the wind (870 - 880 fps and sometimes faster), airgun regulator pressure, airgun pellet weight & head size (and airgun pellet skirts), airgun pellet sorting, air rifle & airgun barrel harmonics, airgun moderator tuning, airgun magazine preparation, airgun/air rifle tuning basics & pro tips, practice, confidence, airgun/air rifle hold, and approach... and SO much more!!!
The epic airgun and air rifle accuracy improving secrets revealed in this video are truly amazing and eye opening. Listen carefully to what Keith is teaching us about how to achieve the best accuracy with your air rifle or airgun and be amazed!!
Keith and Norm's KZfaq Channel:
/ 68whiskey
Keith even talks all about airgun & air rifle lead slugs... what brands he prefers to shoot out of his FX Impact for hunting & competition and why, and at what velocity to shoot these airgun slugs and why. Zan Airgun Slugs and Neilsen Airgun Slugs (NSA) are his favorites for very different reasons.
We conclude our chat by talking all about the 2022 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge international airgun shooting competition... and while Keith is sharing his thoughts on RMAC 2022, I'm sharing plenty of event pictures with the audience!
More 2022 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge coverage COMING SOON here on AEAC folks!
Enjoy!

Excellent interview Steve! You have a real knack for getting people to relax and share their experiences and secrets! One thing I especially liked is the part where Keith revealed that he weighs all his pellets. Many years ago I did a couple write ups on AGN with photos showing one of my weighing sessions with JSB 33.95gr pellets. The weights ranged from 32.8gr at the low end all the way up to 34.9 at the high end. One difference is that Keith weighs his to within .2 tenths of a grain and I weigh mine to .1 tenth of a grain, and then put all the ones that weigh the same into separate cans. I always cleaned mine first with Acetone to remove any gunk from the manufacturing process though. The bottom line is that if all the pellets in your magazine weigh the same as each other to within .1 - .2 tenths of a grain, then except for wind gusts they are all going to hit the same place on your target. This procedure also eliminates that one or two pesky fliers from your groups. One last thing you can do to improve on your weighed pellets is to lightly lube them with Napier Power Pellet Lube...try doing what I say and you will be amazed at how much tighter your groups are and no more fliers in your groups! All the best, Chuck
@68Whiskey
@68Whiskey 2 жыл бұрын
You know of what you speak my friend. I also like to lube when time allows though i use silicone. Same effect. You cant eliminate every flier (there might be a bubble in a pellet that weighs the same) but this sure ups your chances. And playing the odds is always what we do when we shoot for score lol

I’m tuning a Slugger Edition M3 in .22 and this video made my morning. I was so disappointed when I got it and started shooting on the stock tune. (1030 fps on 31.2 gr .218). I slowed the fps down using the wheel and fine tuner but ultimate found my sweet spot using the valve adjustment on the second bar. Final settings are M-8 m-3 Valve-2nd line. Final velocity - 960 fps. Hope this helps anyone and this channel rocks. Always be willing to detune. I can still reach out over 300 yds it’s worth it

Even those that have been around a while should be able to pick up some “little nuggets of goodness” from this conversation. If not, they either weren’t listening or are too arrogant to learn something! 😂 As usual Steve, you’re hard work shows…It is work isn’t it? Seriously, I appreciate the both of you, for what you’ve done for the air gun community & just for being cool “dudes”. Have a great weekend! Stoti P.S. Steeve I like your videos a lot , You go deep searching for good information, I do follow Geith on 68 whiskey for over a year now when got in first place last year for me no was a surprise his a hell of a shooter , Geith I wish I did what you just say , If are a beginner start with pellets . I bought first a Fx m3 .22 what was my first pcp, them a Fx m3 .30 . I spend over a year trying figurate the guns to shoot a good slug no was funny at all , and all the funny to air rifle was gonna , just testing and testing, them I found Ken from Spaw precision weapon He leaves 40 min from me , He did help me a lot. But the point is pellets are away to start for beginners like me.

@@faranzia8890 I can speak for everyone, but one of my friends had an air force for a bit. It was very behind the times as far as tuning and adjustability goes. FX allows you to really dial a gun in precisely. Most air force guns aren't even regulated, which is absolutely horrible for accuracy and consistency.
