Oh my lort--y'all really be out here giving me some CULTURE!
Dimash is an absolute vocal treasure and everyone should have the experience of listening to him sing. But what I found most impressive about his voice was the amazing control of register shifts and his beautiful alluring pop vocals! What a dreamy voice!

Want to see Dimash perform? Tickets are still available to his 2022 concerts in Minsk, Belarus; Prague, Czech Republic; and Düsseldorf, Germany. I should like to go myself if I can organize a group of Dears to go with me. I watched Dimash at the Barclays Arena in December 2019- he was electrifying and divine. I got the bonus of taking a photo with his beautiful Mama Sveta who happened to come by our seats.

Igor Krutoy wrote music for many Soviet and Russian most popular pop songs and classic music pieces. Once he heard Dimash sing he came out of retirement and now he is writing amazing music pieces solely for Dimash trying to take full advantage of his unique vocal talent. They form an amazing collaborative duet and I think this is just the beginning.

@@Myria83 A'Studio is a Kazakh group. Almost all of their songs were in Russian. In Kazakhstan, they speak two languages - Russian and Kazakh. Kazakhstan is a former part of the USSR, therefore, historically, everyone knows Russian. Kazakhstan is a multinational country: Kazakhs, Russians, Ukrainians, Tatars, Koreans, Uzbeks, Chechens ... And a lot more. In the constitution of the state, the Russian language is defined as "the language of interethnic communication."

This venue is in Sochi, Russia. It is the actual venue for the New Wave international competition for young performers. He was in attendance as a judge and performer this year. The "pianist" is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer Igor Krutoy with decades of successful music behind him. After hearing Dimash several years ago he came out of retirement in order to collaborate with him and has composed and written and arranged much of Dimash's music. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. Dimash is one of the best, if not the best, singers on the planet today. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was later found to have perfect pitch. Dimash has been on stage since childhood: he sang and played the piano at various venues and competitions throughout his childhood. The young artist was not only a bright performer of famous hits, but also the author of his own songs. He had written seven songs by the age of 24. His genres include rap, pop, rock, classic, Opera, traditional Kazakh folk and ballad. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, as well as contemporary music, pop and jazz. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He is currently working on his PhD in musical composition. His 7 octave range (C2-D8 whistle tone) and 10 semitones is beyond comparison. His vocals range from a rich low bass/baritone to extremely high soprano notes. On at least one occasion he has sung a D8 in whistle tone for 5 seconds with vibrato. He is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of range you have but in fact how you use it to move people. On top of all this, he embodies every song he sings and always gives 100% for his audience. He's a genius at mixing genres in a song, a style he himself refers to himself as neo-classic. He has won many prestigious awards and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. Dimash has performed songs in 12 different languages: his native language Kazakh, as well as Russian, Mandarin, English, French, Ukrainian, Italian, Kyrgyz, Turkish, Serbian, German, and Spanish. He speaks Kazakh and Russian, and studies English and Mandarin which he says is a difficult language to learn but he's doing well with it. On May 24th, 2021 Dimash celebrated his 27th birthday. At 22 he was invited as a wild card to participate in I Am a Singer, a Chinese competition show for professional singers. He ultimately placed second because at the time the rules of the show disallowed anyone who wasn't Chinese to take first place. The show catapulted him to relative stardom worldwide and he became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia for his neoclassical work with famous Russian/Ukrainian composer and arranger Igor Krutoy who came out of retirement to collaborate with Dimash. Igor has written songs for Dimash and arranged previously composed music specifically for Dimash. He is often at the piano for many of Dimash's performances. Dimash has since introduced pop songs in Russia as well. He was on a solo world tour when the pandemic struck. There are several full concerts available to watch online. His concerts are usually around 2 ½ hours with an eclectic mix of vocal styles and genres. He was born into a musical family and both of his parents are famous singers and musicians in Kazakhstan, his mother being an operatic soprano. He was offered a position in the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned this position down to pursue his own path in neoclassical and contemporary music. Although he works with producers, promoters and music labels in other countries his music is produced and distributed through his own company called Dimashali Creative Center. Dimash plays seven instruments: piano, drums, guitar, keyboard, dombra (the most popular Kazakh instrument, like a lute), marimba (like a xylophone), and bayan (which is like an accordion). Dimash is most widely known through his live performances and has released several albums, the first one going platinum in 37 seconds in China and triple platinum in less than an hour. It has been widely recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has named his "Dears" He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble, and possesses a wonderful sometimes self-deprecating sense of humor. He is often dismissive of his amazing talent and seldom goes without mentioning his love of country and its history.

He is sweating because he just performed “ Your Love” right before this performace. And FYI, the song” Your Love “ is insanely vocal demand too. He is literally a vocal beast , also vocal angel too. Opera classical crossover, pop ballad, r&B, jazz, rock, rap, folk traditional music, He slays them all. What crazy to me is his seamless transition between all registers . Super smooth within A blink of eye. It’s hard to classify him into any voice type, sing bass range, baritone, tenor, countertenor on steroid, even a true high female soprano eating cleaned and precise staccati like. He has the ground fullness of true baritone , yet has the fullness resonance and “ bite” of true high soprano. His head voice/ falsetto is so beautiful. Breath support for days when belting FULL VOLUME crazy high mixed G5 F#5 E5 for like 18-20 seconds in some songs. He can be a sexy gentleman in one song, be a cool dance boy in another, yet can be a super extreme vocal beast warrior, a rocker, a angel in other songs. Belting like a true rocker with high mixed, then like a true soprano. I will suggest “ olympico “ for his more opera vibe, “ love of tired swans” for classical pop vibe, “ love is like a dream” for more pop velvety deep tone. “ Passione “ is whole spiritual experience. And “SOS” is his trademark song ever!

He is constantly expanding his as he says, one semi tone at a time, He has currently expanded it to 7 octaves and 2 notes. He has devoted his entire life to his music. Millions of women love him but last anyone heard, his is still single though he does want to marry and have children. Not sure that will happen if his schedule continues as it is now though. He is an athlete in many genera of sports and is also a Male Model.

I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my KZfaq recommendations for more than a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera, as well as vocal students, and professional singers. I just came across your channel (and subscribed), and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence. You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." Quite sad really because I am fairly certain that Dimash himself would handle criticism with much more grace and kindness. They would fare well to keep in mind that Dimash is just a man, not God. I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and comes from a very musical family. He started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical master’s class and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition; his thesis was titled: "Personal Image of Traditional Music". He graduated with Honours, achieving a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career. Dimash has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now and it shows. I read somewhere that Dimash used to swim 3 hours every day to increase his lung capacity. It's not just raw natural talent but tremendous work, dedication, and discipline to achieve this level of performance. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a much-loved national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He was even offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn. Dimash also plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. During his live concerts, he usually performs for more than two hours and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles. His range is over 7 octaves (A1-D8), according to some analysts, spanning across all four registers. I am neither a singer nor a music critic, so please correct me if I am wrong, but from what I understand there are four registers, from lowest to highest are: vocal fry (pulse), modal voice, falsetto, and flageolet (whistle tone), and Dimash seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath and without a break in between. Dimash has even hit a D8 for ~5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during any live performance. He sings in multiple musical genres. His main genre is classical crossover, but he also sings classical music (bel canto), pop, and world music. He uses musical elements, vocal styles and techniques of many other genres, including jazz, rock (e.g. screams), RnB, musical theater, even rap, as well as Middle Eastern methods.

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️👍🏻 Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. @@jonas8993 Kind of, huh? He's just that magnetic. Oh, I don't have THAT kind of crush on him because my daughter was born on his birthdate when he was 2 years old, and that would be super weird, but there's just something that mesmerizes you when he sings and performs.It's a clean obsession.

@@LoveDimashali yeah yeah, of course, a healthy kind of worshipping^^ there's so many fans crazy about him, and when I read those comments I'm like "those guys are crazy" and then I realize I've been the same in other contexts. And, tbh, Dimash is not one of my favorite artists to listen to anymore, but I still appreciate him very much. It's just that, the music he does, if very centered around his vocals, and after getting used to those crazy vocals, I realize that, the style of music he does doesn't touch me as much as, idk, many kinds of music that I love, that really express a vibe, an atmosphere or a story
@LoveDimashali
@LoveDimashali 2 жыл бұрын
@@jonas8993 Well, shit. I have many other favorite artists but not a ONE of them tells a story like Dimash, so I don't understand.Of course, other artists express a different vibe with a different genre of music....but I cannot name not one other artist that does a presentation or becomes so emotionally invested in his song than Dimash. Oh, I agree with you that some people just go ridiculously overboard with their obsession. For instance, when I see much older women talk about how hot he is(ewww). Of course I think he's very handsome but just to appreciate beauty, not to want to have his shoes under my bed. My God, get a grip. Or women that can't let him breath because they show up EVERYWHERE that he is. It's all nice and good that they bring him flowers and appreciate it, but keep it real.I have to slightly disagree with you on being "tired" of him. Not sure how that is even possible, but it's all good.
@jonas8993
@jonas8993 2 жыл бұрын
@@LoveDimashali XD Yeah I agree on the "crazy fans" part, its a bit weird sometimes. Well nothing new it exists with most artists. "tired" is a big word, I'm not tired of him, but, I'm not as amazed by his vocals as I was for the first, like, 2 years listening to him (the fact that it took me 2 years to get used to it goes to show how talented he is). Even though I'm still impressed by him, I don't have the "first impression" feeling, and I really need to love the music he sings to enjoy it, whereas before, even if I wasn't familiar with the style I would enjoy it because of the vocals only. And finally, yes I agree he's a great story teller and everything, but, when you look at it really, it's still Dimash, it screams Dimash because of his confidence, and because of the crazy vocals. Even if there's a story with it, it's hard to forget a second that it's dimash kind of music. Hopefully, with time, all this will evolve, and maybe more his music will sound different. The song Ocean Over the Time that he did for a video game is one of my favorite, the fact that it's studio recorded, and in Chinese, it's less Dimash and more a story in itself in my opinion :) also cuz the instrumental is more prominent than in most Dimash's songs.

Do listen to Ti Amo Cosi that Dimash does with Aida Garifullina and Lara Fabian for Igor’s 65th birthday celebration. Dimash has dozens of videos available for listening. He is from Kazakhstan and sings in about 12 languages, speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently and quickly learning English and Mandarin. Has degrees in classical and contemporary music and a Masters in composition. Currently working on his PhD. Also plays several instruments. Has been training since he was 5. Has absolute pitch.

On top of all Dimash's talent and product of 22 years of really hard work, this is what all of us dears love so much about him. When asked what is his goal in life he stated," No one is born just to be a singer or a star, but all the days of our life we are to be a good,correct person. This is the test we must strive to pass". His upbringing is surpassed by none. His manners and humbleness make him more beautiful than ever. When asked why he has not developed the habit of smoking and drinking as does his peers he said," that would bring sorrow to the people that raised me and I could never, never do that.

It is completely out of the ordinary how Dimash Qudaibergen manages to convey extremely different emotions by singing almost exactly the same lyrics but using a different dynamic, a different key, a different timbre and different sound production techniques! He begins with the shyness and doubt of a stranger who enters a territory totally foreign to him (when he plays in the piano mode and with sounds surrounded by breath), moves on to the desire to try his strength to achieve a new beginning in life (then when he achieves that magnificent passage through the whole spectrum of his vocal rank using very different techniques of singing on each register) and reaches the end to have the power of the winning hero who not only tried, not only fought but finally defeated (when he shows us the power of his belting and that high and super long note of 20 seconds)! I only scored 3 moments, but they were more because between the choruses there were 2 slightly different moments of storytelling, but both in his register below the bass-baritone and there was another chorus (in total there were 4 choruses and two slightly more parts of the story, all in different dynamics, different keys and very different vocal techniques performed impeccably from a technical point of view, but also with strong emotional effects in the sense of impressive and maximum effect on the audience that practically listened to the whole song almost hypnotized)! For me it was the perfect song of the moment and it was a sublime demonstration of how much Dimash Qudaibergen can still progress even though he is already far beyond his contemporaries ! In this song he covered from C2 to F6 ! This traditional instrument is called Kobyz, it is made of a single piece of wood lined with goatskin, has two strings of horsehair and is an instrument used in ancient times by shamans in their rituals! The composer is Igor Krutoy, but the introduction of this instrument was Dimash's idea and it was seen how important it is in the economy of this song!

A very enjoyable reaction and analysis. Dimash premiered his newest song "Stranger" on August 19, 2021, during his performance at the annual New Wave music competition in Sochi, Russia. He once again performed with Igor Krotoy on the piano and introduced Olzhas Qurmanbeck on the kobyz. Igor Krutoy composed the music, American poetess Sharon Vaughn wrote the lyrics, and Dimitris Kontopoulos (Greece) and Yerlan Bekchurin (Kazakhstan) did the arrangement. It is an amazing performance, one of, if not the best to date, in my humble opinion. Dimash traverses almost 5 octaves (C2-F6) in this performance. That stunning last note is a 20-second full mixed voice belt in F#5. Igor Krutoy is quoted as saying that “it was Dimash’s talent that inspired me to write this song, his immense vocal abilities and his desire to sing for a large international audience. Franky, I don’t see anyone else who could perform this piece in such a way.” When Dimash first listened to the melody of "Stranger" he felt that the addition of a kobyz to the musical arrangement would give the song a unique, yet very fitting sound. Thus, the kobyz made its debut at the New Wave Hall at the Sochi Olympic Park, and what a great choice indeed. It is a beautiful sounding instrument that seems to underscore the song’s deep meaning. This wasn’t the first time that Dimash has featured Olzhas Qurmanbeck playing the kobyz. You can also enjoy him in a few of Dimash’s other performances such as Qairan Elim (official music video) and Samaltau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival). The kobyz is a very old, traditional, and sacred instrument in Kazakhstan. The kobyz or kyl kobyz is the most ancient bowed instrument on earth, widespread among the Turks, Kazakhs, Karakalpaks, Bashkirs, and Tatars. It became the basis for most of today’s bowed instruments around the world, including European instruments such as violin, viola, cello, and contrabass. The Kyrgyz variant is called kyl kayak. The instrument is carved from a single piece of wood (typically apricot) or juniper (arsha), maple, pine tree, or birch. The instrument consists of three parts: head (bas), middle (base is keude), and lower part (ayak) and usually measures 60-70 cm. It has two strings made from horsetail hair; one to provide melody and the other resonance. The bow is shaped like an archer’s bow, and its string is tied to both ends of the bent branch and affixed with strong threads of camel wool. The New Wave Music competition started in 2002, and for nearly two decades now has been one of the most iconic music events in Russia and other parts of the world. It is an international contest for young performers of popular music. It was founded by Russian composer, performer, and music producer Igor Krutoy (seen here playing the piano) and Latvian pianist and composer Raimonds Pauls. Russian superstar Alla Pugacheva eventually joined as one of the show’s organizers. The contest usually lasts for six days: 3 contest days, 2 special event days, and the final day when the contest's results are announced and a final concert is performed. The television audience of the New Wave music competition numbers more than 200 million people. In 2018, Dimash debuted as a guest performer, performing his now legendary rendition of “Sinful Passion”. This year (2021) Dimash took part as a guest performer, as well as a judge. In this year’s finale, 11 participants from 9 countries will compete for the grand prize.
