So so if the end play is outside the specs . What’s the procedure to correct?

If the bearing adjustment is out of specification you can remove the locking keeper and either tighten the nut or loosen the Pro-Torq nut to the desired endplay. On the inside of the Pro-Torq nut there are locking teeth that engage with the keeper, and these teeth provide almost .001" adjustment. TMC RP618C recommends an endplay of .001-.005" of endplay on wheel bearings.

incorrect, that pamphlet from stemco is outdated, you back off the nut until it is loose. not one full rotation. you need to release the bearing tensions fully.
