Teepa, I know that you have some regional reps that are trained to promote your techniques and to go out and train staff, or offer other dementia help in facilities. I just wanted to say that I wish these reps would at least make themselves known by composing an introductory letter and mailing it to administrators at their local facilities and make their introductions to the local alzheimers associations. After talking with a rep about introducing herself to a facility to bring awareness to her services, or to mail me something to pass on, she told me that she doesn't make business calls to facilities because it is not received well. What is the use then to wait on the facilities to become aware of her. There is a great need for retraining of staff on an ongoing basis, especially because staff are coming and going so often in facilities now. They go where the money or bonuses are. I see precious residents just sitting for crafts, no music activities, no outdoor activities, no tactile experiences, or daily hands on activities to keep them occupied and engaged. Please find a way to get awareness to where it needs to be, in the facilities. Thank you.
