Incredible step by step process. That rolling and kneading technique to add clay to the pots height at 8:43 & 13:40 would be a beautiful signature design if the pot was done in its entirety with that textured on the outside, perfect for the high end contemporary market.

Build a large frame and Use the compactor in the beginning , to make a press mold. The wheel is for glazing.

It takes a long time, from drawing and shaping to carving and drying, and finally firing, one pot takes about a month.

likely it is because the pots are fired in a reduced oxygen kiln, this can cause certain iron rich clays to darken.

Anything done by hand can be done with a machine. The only detail is how many of the item is required. I'm a cabinetmaker. 1 table is just me working. 100 tables is me needing several employees for a number of weeks. 1000 tables is too many for a small business, but not enough to build the machines. I'd rather get asked for 5 items or less.
