Jungkook has always been such a huge fan of Charlie Puth, every time he's asked who he wants to colllab with he would always say Charlie Puth. They actually got to perform We Don't Talk Anymore together at a Korean award show back in 2018. Jungkook and Jimin also did a cover of We Don't Talk Anymore I believe for Festa (it's just audio though no video or performance).

But actually since then it was charlie who always tweeted and mentioned jungkook on his tweets and send him his favorite songs. Never forget Charlie chose Jungkook for this collab. He said Jungkook was the first one he thought of that would be perfect for this song. He chose him because it felt natural & there was a mutual respect for their music and talent. Charlie was so impressed with jks verse. He called it magical and even said jk must have perfect pitch like he has. The song has gone on to break many records and continues to break every kpop soloist creeer and also broke bts records and highest debut on Hot10p. That is all credit to the talents of BOTH Charlie and Jungkook who worked together to create the song of the summer

@@goldenlegend97 My comment was not meant to downplay Charlie Puth's pivotal role in the success of the collab. Especially since it is Charlie's song and JK is the featured artist. I just wanted to point out it was a dream come true for JK to collab with Charlie Puth and they have performed together in the past. I'm happy for both Charlie Puth and Jungkook and I hope Left and Right continues to do well and I hope they get to perform it together at some point.

Welcome to one of JKs best talent. He melds his voice to other singers tones so the transition isn’t abrupt. It’s like smoooth whiskey. He does it in Coldplay, when he sings with Tae, and even when he’s harmonising, even with the rappers.

Thanks to Charlie who asked jk for this amazing collaboration Charlie is so in love with jk's voice He said several times that he's sure jk has Perfect pitch and actually that's true Jk was listed with artists whom have Perfect pitch on Wikipedia His voice is so unique and suits every kind of music Also his pronunciation is so perfect like a native speaker I'm beyond proud of jungkook also Charlie They did so amazing work and the song literally becomes a hit everywhere SONG OF THE SUMMER WITH NO DOUBT

they had done a collab stage for we dont talk anymore in MAMA 2018. they do have very similar tones and also because jungkook is very versatile and good at imbibing expressions and voices into his own.

When I first started listening to BTS if I couldn't ID a voice I assumed it was JK because he can blend his voice into a song and compliment other singers the way no one else can.
